Cruising out of New Orleans on the Norwegian Spirit was to be a very exciting vacation. We got to our cabin #5372 after checking in and a two hour wait--only to find a filthy bathroom and two beds put together with only a single duvet. I split the beds and went to explore. We returned at 9:10 pm. The beds were still split- one bed was not made up. We called housekeeping and the room steward was very angry that we disturbed him but did get what was asked. Our sheets were not changed the entire week!!
Now let me tell you the real reason for this Ripoff report! The meals aboard Norwegian Cruise Line ships are artocious. Having been on the Sun, Star and the Spirit! My Rottweiler's dog food looks more appetizing and smells better. Finally being sick of the slop they called food we went to Cagneys and paid extra for what we thought would be a better meal. WRONG!! I ordered prime rib and they served it fresh off the GRILL!! It was tougher than a shoe and had zero taste. They added three green beans. What was supposed to be Filet Mignon was a big tough piece of something. $40.00 down the drain.
We ate in port to keep from eating aboard ship. Shame on Norwegian.
Horrible food, lazy crew, lousy cooks, rude front desk and a liar for a cruise director. "Don't go into town it's dangerous" my big fat behind. The ports were wonderful, the people charming and the shopping was great once you got away from Norwegian's special rip off shops!! Never again! EVER!!

How sad.  Exaggerated, inaccurate, and angry.  I've been on many NCL cruises and a few simple phone calls would have corrected this problem.  The buffet isn't 5 star, but it's very good and always fresh.  Cagney's, the specialty restaurant you claim to have paid $40.00 only costs $15.00.  You lost your creditability early on.  This is RIPOFF reports, not WHINER reports.
