At 64, I thought I was savvy enough to spot a con when I saw one. Obviously not. This company is very good at deceiving potential customers:
On the first call, I was told that they needed U$ 59/person to pay for the Bahamian port tax and that if we decided not to go, the money was refundable because "since the Bahamian government would not collect it, it was not theirs to keep". When I decided to cancel the following day, I was told these fees were "booking fees" and were NOT reimbursable.
Later on, they agreed (on the phone) to reimburse the monies I had paid for upgrades, etc. because "I had cancelled within 48hs after confirming"...
Imediately called Citibank and asked them to contest the charges under what I consider fraudulent and false advertising tactics. (Their representative swore it was a "brand new ship" and I found out that it is really an old bathtub that saw service in many different countries and that it was refurbished several years ago).
The issue has not been resolved yet...
