Consumer Reporting Services-Commissioners of Registration Consumer Reporting Services; "CRS" An independent research and publishing firm Commissioners of Registration- Sent an official looking letter claiming that money is to be awarded. However, a $20.00 fee is requried and to be sent by June 11,2010, by no later than midnight. Las Vegas, Nevada

The back of their very official looking letter stated the following:

"'Consumer Reporting Services("CRS") is an independent research and publishing firm that compiles information on entry directives for third party sweepstakes and contests into an easy to read format. This offer is not a sweepstakes or a notification of winnings. ...

..."'CRS does not sponsor sweepstakes, contests or merchandise promotions and accepts no liability for claims brought against contest or sweepstakes providers.  We do not guarantee the cash or prizes advertised by the sponsoring entities.""

The letter continues to state that they are just a company that registers information, and writes up reports.  It is a total contradiction to what the front of the letter is saying.  Just another scam.. They're getting very, very sophisticated.

Don't fall for it.  Keep your money.  No one enters a sweepstakes or contest without some kind of entry form or in the case of a lottery, you pay something. 

The letter also stated that if you do  not want to receive anything from them to send back the letter in a plain envelope to "Consumer Services, placing DNM next to your name.  They provide a return address much like the other; a p.o. box too.
