Applebees fired me because they claimed I changed a tip on credit card from a $3.00 to $8.00 tip without checking handwriting. They just went along with the customers complaint. I have been there 2 yrs and am very honest. Rock Hill South Carolina

I have worked for Applebees in Rock Hill SC for two years. Today they told me that a customer said "I changed a tip from $3.00 to $8.00. They said they had no choice but to terminate my job. I have been an excellent employee for applebees. They never let me defend myself. The handwriting on the tip receipt wasn't even mine. That didn't seem to matter. How can a customer who signed their own name to a receipt and wrote the figures get away with getting me fired. How is that possible. Could the customer have had alchol? Nobody from corporate bothered to investigate alligations such as stealing from a customer. I find this a very serious charge. I would like the opportunity to prove that this customer was WRONG!!

I was wrongfully terminated as well

I was fired on 09/16/09 for supposedly threatening a co-worker.. but I took out an restraining order on this co-worker 9 days before the incident happened.. (I was told when I showed the restraining order on 09/07/09 that I was getting fired but they changed their mind I guess because they knew I would be guaranteed Unemployment) So they made up an incident on 09/16/09 in retaliation of an employee... They stated I threatened the co-worker I filed an restraining order on... LOL why would I go against someone when I had the law on my side??? This company is a joke, their polices are poorly written, the employer change and apply all the rules into their favor but leave the employee looking like the idiot and making the employee look like they have not right in any matter. That might be why they have Consultech to handle their termination cases since they have so many against them...
