I could not agree more with all the other angry and fed up consumers and tax payers of America. Just when it looked as if the country couldn't be worse off, we get robbed of our hard earned money by the people and business' "dedicated" to keep us safe.

How are we the people supposed to be able to survive and pay our bills and feed our children (who solely depend on us) if corporations like Bank of America keep charging us $35 for every NSF purchase. And on top of that charging them even when we have money in our accounts.

So what now? Who can stop this? I can. I will close my account and take my business elsewhere. I tell you the truth. It is cheaper to pay $0.75 for a money order and a few dollars to cash my check than it is to continue to pay $35 per bogus fee.

I have been ripped off time and time again by this "Bank of America" and I am fed up. And it will continue to get worse for those who continue to bank with them, because of those of us who smarten up and take our money elsewhere.

May GOD bless you.

Tanaya, I'm glad you are canceling your account with Bank of America. Now here's something that most Americans don't know, but I want YOU to know about, okay? The U.S. government is....

AUTHOR: Karl - highlands ranch (U.S.A.)

COLLAPSING, but they don't want Americans or anyone else to know about it, in my opinion. The government relies on TAX REVENUE for its existence, right? But if you take a look at what happened last year it is plain to see that many of the corporations in America can no longer pay the amount of TAX REVENUE as before, correct? The PROFITS are dwindling for many of these corporations, right?

Corporations like Countrywide, Lehman, Bear Stearns, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, GM, Chrysler, Bank of America, Citigroup, & many others, needed to be 'bailed-out' by the government with TAXPAYER'S money, didn't they? Some of these corporations don't exist anymore, & others are in a much different situation than before because they can't pay same amount in TAX REVENUE to the government, right? And since MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of people lost their jobs as a result of what took place, the government will see LESS tax revenue from individuals because many are no longer working, & many are making less than they were just a few years ago, correct?

Tanaya, I believe that we are witnessing the COLLAPSE of the U.S. government right now. (Or at least a big part of it.) It's happening, and the government doesn't know what to do, in my opinion. Here's something to keep your eye on in the coming months: the price of OIL!

I believe that OIL will be 'manipulated' in order to keep our government, & other governments operating with the money that they need. My guess is that OIL will rise steadily as more & more people in the USA lose their jobs, their homes, and their purchasing power. Remember, consumer spending drives about 70% of the U.S. economy. As consumers lose their ability to 'spend', the U.S. economy will continue to lose momentum.

As the U.S. economy loses momentum, so does the U.S. government. The government realizes a tax on every gallon of gasoline sold, right? (I believe it's around 42 cents a gallon.) As fewer Americans buy the amount of gasoline as they once did, the government loses more in tax revenue, correct?  But if Americans can successfully be 'manipulated' into believing that the worst is over and that we're in a 'recovery', then OIL will rise in price. (Just watch!) It's too bad that the government continues to spend about $10 BILLION each month for a war/wars in the Middle East, wouldn't you agree? Imagine how that money could be used to HELP PEOPLE in America.

Checking accounts aren't for everybody...

AUTHOR: Edgeman - Chico (U.S.A.)

Checking accounts take a lot of work. You have to be able to keep records, update your check register, be familiar with your bank's funds availability and overdraft policies. Many people are tempted to use online banking to keep track of their balances and that simply isn't good enough. Online banking, phone banking or even ATM receipts were never intended to be used as a substitute for a check register and account holders are still responsible for the transactions that they authorize.

Bank of America will soon be changing policies but consumers will still have to be hyper-diligent when managing their checking accounts. It will still be possible to rack up overdraft fees, up to $140 in fees per day if one isn't careful.

There is good news though - It's quite easy to avoid paying overdraft fees to any bank. In fact, the vast majority of account holders do not pay overdraft fees. If anybody out there decides that they would like to keep their own money instead of paying overdraft fees, there are a number of steps one can take such as maintaining accurate records, always staying within one's available balance and knowing when deposited funds will be available.

However, some people are unwilling or unable to do the work that is required for a checking account. There's nothing wrong with that - if these people don't want checking accounts they can use prepaid credit cards or similar products.

Personal responsibility...

AUTHOR: Karen - Phoenix (USA)

Hmmm... Funny how people that live within their means, keep track of their account on a daily basis, and don't run their debit card 24/7 don't seem to think all the banks in the U.S. are corrupt & don't seem to have all these issues regarding NSF fees.

KAREN....

AUTHOR: Karl - highlands ranch (U.S.A.)

Hmm... funny how millions of Americans who didn't do anything wrong and were 'responsible' with their finances have seen their homes decline significantly in value over the past few years, huh? And it's funny how millions of Americans who were never late making their credit card payments have seen their interest rates raised, their available balances lowered, and their FICO scores lowered too, huh?

And it's funny how millions of Americans who were 'responsible' are now RESPONSIBLE for bailing-out the many corporations who were in deep trouble, some of which went into bankruptcy due to inept people working at the top, huh? It's also funny how millions of Americans who were 'responsible' have seen their retirement accounts and their investments wiped out, or decline significantly, due to a country (mainly its economy) whose foundation is solidly built on- LIES, DECEPTION, FRAUD, MANIPULATION, GREED, TRICKERY, DEEP CORRUPTION, & the CONSTANT PURSUIT TO FINANCIALLY INJURE THE INNOCENT PEOPLE LIVING IN America & all over the world, huh?

Have a nice day.

P.S. It's also funny how many people in the USA, even our so-called 'leaders', continue to believe that going to WAR is the 'way' to bring peace, huh? Make sure to 'Google' this- OBAMA'S WAR: FRONTLINE PBS, and watch it on the web, okay?

Thank You.
