This a customer service warning about Cakes 'N Things and we advise anybody and everybody to avoid using this company.  Please take heed, the gentleman there who answers the phone # 309-747-2820 was very out of line, and rude.

There was a legitimate problem with the Paypal account I was using and my Husband had paid the debt of $19.18.  The "Gentleman" (we'll call him) left me a super nasty and very threatening voice mail and later he spoke with me when I called him back.

I tried very calmly to explain myself and all he kept doing was interrupting me and accusing me of being a fraud; all I was trying to do was remedy the issue and compliment him on the nice goods that they had shipped me.

Afterwards, I got home from work and called the Cakes 'N Things Inc. again and this guy answers the phone.  I played like I didn't recognize his voice and asked him if the representative I spoke to was there and what his name was.  The "Gentleman" said that "Mr. Smith" was in a meeting and he would call me back.

Already having saved the nasty, threatening, and tasteless voice mail that he sent me, I played it for my husband. I then asked my dear husband to pay this debt with his account.  He reluctantly did though and he called the "Gentlemen" in efforts to smooth things over...Have you ever heard of an angry bear getting angrier? My husband called this jerk and tried to explain that there was a problem with the Paypal account and to say that it had been paid by his account, in hopes that the friction would diminish.

The "Gentleman" started getting mouthy with my husband right from the get-go. My husband, attempting to be diplomatic, told the "Gentleman" that no hostilities were needed and tried telling the "Gentleman" that he was not deserving of such treatment. My husband then tried to explain again that the problem had a simple solution and the crazed "Gentleman" then called my husband a "Sweetheart" and hung up on him

My husband laughed, then called again after he got his blood pressure down. Wouldn't you know it....the overly pompous and horrible customer service representative didn't answer. My husband left a message and there it sits.

I advise anybody who wants to buy candy molds, cake accessories and things like that to use a different service. Unless you want to deal with a jerk, order from another online company.
