this BOGUS report comes at the heels of a TRUE rip off report that numerous bands have posted on regarding a Manchester bar, and its nutty professors ;)
that rip off report was published about im thirsty entertainment in manchster back on nov. 28th. 2011
GROUND ZERO doesn't ask for money up front from bands. that's called pay to play, I do not have a paypal or other like type account set up for that sort of transaction, nor do I care to deal with that type of nonsense.
this report is humorous at best, as it strikingly resembles a report posted recently about the aforementioned Manchester bar promoter, and those people working there that actually do rip off young bands.
its hard to swallow and entirely ludicrous that GROUND ZERO being a venue that cares about giving teens a safe, positive environment to enjoy great music, and interact with peers, would ever take ticket money up front from a 15 year old, and not pay it back, in the event that the show got canceled etc.... especially in the terrible event that a parent has died.
I am a parent, and its a shame that someone would dare include their mom's el edged death into a false report like this. in my opinion, that's asking for trouble. just plain sad, it shows bad judgement, loss of sensible intellect, and the lack of respect for life (even their own mom's).
this here report is a complete HOAX and those who know the business owner and myself, will clearly write this whole thing off as a HUGE joke, posted in retaliation, and hopefully in some way or another, get as big a laugh out if it, as I did.
in the terms of service of this "rip off report web site", they actually put that you should NOT write "false statements" unfortunately this entire report is a "false statement" and a pitiful one at that. come up with something a bit more original than posting a report - that so closely resembles the same type of report that's already been posted about some so called Manchester / Franklin NH "promoter"
I urge you now, to provide any and all proof that this false accusation actually took place. the exact date that your so called band was suppose to play, how the so called money was exchanged and where, why only now have you come forward to get your so called money back?, band name?, how about providing the actual booking emails asking for money up front??? They do not exist, because that's not how I book any of my events. I refuse to follow and be involved in "this terrible ( buy your tickets up front ) practice" that other so called "promoters" have dishonestly & dissrespecfully used to fill thier own wallets!.
again, if you are going to post ridiculous false reports about someone, please at least make them truthful, original, and not so full of holes that everyone reading them, can see right through them.
Lastly, I do believe the beetles manager once said, "bad publicity - is still Publicity".
but even bad publicity should at least be truthful.
so do what you will and keep on keeping on ;)
Merry CHRISTmas, and happy NEW YEAR to you and yours ;)

I am a volunteer employee of Ground Zero, I have been volunteering for a couple of years at this venue. My responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting at the front window checking in bands and customers, accounting, occasionally reading lyrics, and general maintenance. Ground Zero's #1 interest is keeping teens safe which is one of the many reasons I have chosen to donate my time to them!
This report is 100% positively false. In the time I have spent volunteering for this wonderful venue I have never encountered a band being told they must sell tickets and pay up front. Every band that chooses to sell tickets presents their ticket sales money at the front window during check in the night they are playing before their fans are allowed to come in with their tickets. This is only fair because we can not allow a unpaid for ticket to enter, that is common sense.
As for calling 10 times...I would love to know the phone number you are calling because Ground Zero does not conduct business over the phone. All booking is done through email so there is no confusion or he said she said craziness. Please provide proof of said emails if they did in fact occur!
I can not express how deeply upset I am that anyone would create such lies about Ground Zero when all they have ever tried to do is provide a save haven for teens. All of their venues have been all ages, clean, alcohol & drug free, safe environments. There are not many places out there that can say the same!
If you have something to say and a real claim to make please provide the following proofs to substantiate your absurd claim: What is the name of your band, what date was your band suppose to play, any emails between you and booking, and the phone number you claim to have been calling. I know you can not provide these proofs because none of these events occurred, I know this as a fact because I am actively involved in many aspects of this venue.
Good luck we can see right through you!

I've heard some nonsense in my day, but this is ridiculous. I've attended and played shows at the owner's clubs since the late nineties and not once have I ever myself, or talked to any other bands that, had to pay money up front. Three clubs now for over a decade and I don't know how many bands I've gone to see or have shared the stage with, and this sort of thing has NEVER happened!
Not only have I known and worked with the owner professionally, I've gotten to know the owner and their family personally. These are not the type of people that would do this sort of thing. I have every single e-mail ever sent between the owner and myself about setting up and playing shows, and not once was there a demand for money. The same generalized e-mail is sent out to ALL bands that play.
Not only can the author of this report come up with no evidence, but it can be proven that they are lying. Not just by the bands and individuals that have worked with the owner, but by the fact the accuser states they left 10 messages with the club. How can they when the club doesn't have a phone? All business is done via e-mail and I have seen this first hand. This is clearly someone with a personal vendetta and nothing better to do.
If this had actually happened, where are the hoards of other bands coming out to support this claim? They're not coming, because there aren't any. If this happened once then it would have clearly happened many more times, but I see no one else joining in so that's proof right there that the claims are false.
One of my favorite sayings to unintelligent situations is; 2+2=4. Obviously math proves right again. This accuser doesn't have a shred of truth to anything they have said. Nor do they have good grammar, but that's another issue all in itself.
All in all, if you have taken the time to read this entire saga, you have just witnessed some great fiction writing. Not good enough to be used on a soap opera or anything, but enough to get a C+ in a seventh grade creative writing class.
Don't let the mindless writing of this droll individual... Wait. Droll is too complimentary of a word for said accuser. Supplement your own adjective if you need one at this point. Don't listen to this garbage. Come out to the club, book a show, and see first hand that this is not how Ground Zero or the owner operates. The music scene is under enough weight of social disconnection. Don't hurt one of the few remaining places that fights for the conservation of the music community.
