I've used Elena's Models, and found it to be an efficient service. Actually met a couple of girls, one in my country and one in hers. Internet dating isn't a quick fix, it takes some effort and hard work.

I would point out that there appear to be scammers on many dating sites. I would caution any 50 year old man getting propositioned by a 28 year old. She's after more than your rugged good looks - you know that in everyday life, why expect the internet to be different?.

Use your common sense, if your questions aren't answered, and you think the letter is a little too generic, then it probably is, move on. You can search for similar phrases on Google, see if they re-occur. If you get a sob story or they are talking about love & marriage without ever meeting, its a fairy tale. If you send money well more fool you. This advice is for all dating sites, not just Elena's Models.

It should be re-named ELENASSCAMS.com due to high number of scammers on her web site. She is the same agency as www.jimslists.com (or agencyscams.com or antiscam.net) and is the biggest scam artist of all. She is using "Jim" to write fake dirt on more than 1100 agency just to advance.

Avid her as all costs as she rips off the clients without any mercy and does not give them a second chance.

Fake letters, Fake profiles she is using it all!!!!!!!!!!!

But the worst part is that she is Jimslists.com herself!!!!!!

What a scammer!!!!!!! Report her to all sites and write about her scam all over the internet!!!!!!

Please do yourself a favour and run from her and submit Jislists.com and www.elenasmodels.com to every scam website you can find!!!!!!

Beware, she is creating scam websites like a crazy, she has the spam marketing team who is trying to convince you to trust them. DON't believe.

I comment purely from the perspective of meeting women on-line on Elenas Models, checking them out personally (initially via, email, chat then by phone, later in person) and making my own judgement as to whether they are genuine or not.

Yes I have found some women who are obviously scamming, whores or whatever - these people are really easy to spot - anybody who is not prepared to spend aome time online chatting, give you her phone number or who suddenly appears via a translation agency who offer a fixed price per letter translated is to be avoided.

Similarly, anybody who is stupid enough to think they can pay a few bucks to somebody to find them a beautiful East European wife 20 years their junior deserves to be ripped off.

Come on Guys - you are probably grossly overweight, presenting yourself as well off and targeting younger women in a "less developed" country, and then you moan because you are targeted by scammers???

Elena Petrova is a second rate (by good enough) marketeer, undoubtedly commercially sharp and unscrupulous - in addition to running a contact website where there are some genuine women, there are numerous additonal "services" that you can subscribe to that are purely designed to rip you off.

If you are 50, fat and ugly, do you really expect a 35 year old women to be attracted to you - "Caviat Emptor" - you have rights but you also have a responsibility not to be a complete moron - bleating about paying money for a trophy wife and then not getting one identifies you as a sad & stupid a-hole!

If you use the site responsibly, i.e be honest, demand honsety from contacts in return and avoid the "add on services", you can meet very attractive, genuinely interested women of a SIMILAR AGE to you on this site. If you are after something
else, it may well be cheaper and less emabrassing to go to your local Pimp.

I was a member of Elena's Models during the years 2005-2008. While as an active member of Elena's Models online introduction agency, I had correspondence with dozens and dozens of female personalities who resided at several Eastern European and Eurasian countries, and correspondence with quite a few female personalites who used to reside at the former Soviet Union but who now reside at the United States. Quite a few of the personalites - whether they be Eastern European and/or Russian citizens, or current American citizens - were legitimate, but an inordinate number of others were not.

During my long tenure as a member of Elena's Models online introduction agency, I learned a great deal about so-called "online dating"; that it doesn't exist, in a realistic sense. In otherwords, dating only happens within the actuality of real life and it's literally impossible to date someone via internet. Another thing I quickly learned, was that Slavic women either reside at or come from a region of the world that is repressed. Therefore, most would do almost anything to escape repression. But yet another thing I learned while being a member of Elena's Models agency, is that there is excellent potential for Western men to find extraordinarily genuine Slavic women via the agency (Elena's Models) if said men use some discretion and a large dose of caution.

It doesn't take long to realize that some girls are merely using online introduction services - such as Elena's Models - to escape a situation whereas there isn't much hope for the future. Let's face it, things are incredibly difficult for young people within all former soviet countries. It's much more difficult to economically survive over there than it is in the West. Anyone who's ever been to any of the former Soviet countries, will attest to that fact. Basically speaking, society within most former Soviet countries is a set of social classes and the affluent are rare indeed, much less frequent than affluence occurs the United States. Therefore, beware when communicating with foreign women and use your brain just as you would when searching for a potential mate within the United States, or elsewhere.

Fortunately for me, common sense and a prudent attitude paid off. Eventually I was able to find a girl who fit within the parameters I'd established well in advance and I had several weeks of correspondence and telephone dialog with her so that I could gauge her credibilty, before investing in an extended-duration trip to meet her in person. As it turned out, she was and is everything she claimed to be and more. To make a long story short, she's now living with me in the United States and we've been happily together for over a year and I don't think that's going to change; she's content and I'm content and married life is actually a blissful experience for us.

But make no mistake about it, I invested a lot of time, energy, effort and finances to get where I am right now, and it took a lot of weeding and pruning through a literal cornucopia of potential candidates. If anyone thinks that they can just log onto internet and then browse through lavish photos of gorgeous Slavic girls and then easily land on a fiance who hails from the former Soviet Union, then that person would either be an idiot or a fool, or both. To find a qualified and legitimate romantic partner in Eastern Europe or Russia requires sincere effort and a large amount of expendable cash, and a lot of good ol' common sense.

Anyway, I can attest to the legitimate practice which Elena's Models agency applies to their services, and I can certainly attest to the fact that there are legitimate and genuine Slavic girls who are using that agency's website. However, those authentic girls aren't on each and every page of the site. It takes some serious evaluation and sincere practicality to sort fact from fiction when using Elena's site, just as it does when sorting through any online introduction agency's site. So, best of luck to those who are seriously considering the possibility of finding and marrying a sincere Slavic girl, because they're certainly out there for those who are willing to search in a responsible and practical way.

Robert - who are you really?.  Your use of English shows all the errors common to Eastern Europeans yet you seem to be claiming you are a ripped off anglo from Canada.

Consumers must be VERY wary of anonymous reports like the one initiating this discussion.

The fake rumors about connection of a very legitimate and FULLY LICENSED Russian dating agency ELENA'S MODELS with some "hacker Alexey Ivanov" are circulating on the Internet since initially having been posted by an unscrupulous competitor many years ago, and anyone knowing anything about the Russian dating industry knows these rumors and allegations to be completely false.

If you read any references to "Alexey Ivanov, convicted hacker from St. Petersburg  arrested by FBI for blackmailing many large corporations" and any alleged connection of this "hacker" to the Russian dating industry in general and ELENA'S MODELS in particular, you can be sure this is a lie and a fake post.

1. Why a highly qualified "hacker" would bother with setting up an anti-scam site?

Doesn't make any sense. A hacker who took on "many large corporations" can make more money hacking (which is what he is good at, right?) Then again, if he had been arrested by FBI, how can he be managing an Internet website now? Total nonsense.

2. The author makes a statement, "None of us have time and ability to investigate all the events, but I did." (sic)

Which events? What has been investigated? What are the results of the investigation? What methods have been used? Absolutely no facts supplied and it's just another ungrounded allegation.

3. "What I was promised, I did not received." (sic)

Another allegation without facts - what exactly was promised which has not been received?

The whole comment is based on generalizations and false statements, obviously to make it look like a legitimate consumer complaint, so that the RipoffReport admin would allow it to be published.

The same applies to the comments posted by "agencyscams net" which is a fake website, the whole purpose of which is to discredit the long-time leader of Russian anti-scam movement agencyscams com. Again, anyone knowing the Russian dating industry knows that site and the owner Jim, who is a Canadian who used to live in Russia and this is where he set up his first website helping guys to catch Russian dating scammers, because it was easier for him having local knowledge. Jim is a real defender of consumer rights on the Internet and is working constantly on his website to warn the public.

Most other comments on this page sound real and legitimate, even the one talking about "trophy wives" - the difference is, those comments are REAL and designed to help the user and warn the consumer.

It is true that if you are old and ugly (and poor) and hope to buy a 20-year young trophy wife from Russia (or Philippines, or Mexico), you are going to shoot yourself in the foot no matter what.

It is true that no matter how carefully the agency checks their profiles, there will be some girls that only want a "free ride" and you probably are going to buy them dinners and gifts and won't get as much as a good-night kiss on the cheek. SO BE WISE! Freeloaders are the same here in the good old U.S.A. as they are everywhere, and the old adage is, "The big difference between sex for money and sex for free is that sex for money usually costs a lot less." This is about the trip to the pimp, which is not such a bad option after all.

The big difference with ELENA'S MODELS is that the agency itself is honest and legitimate and the contact model on the site is very straightforward: you sign up, pay for membership, and can send UNLIMITED mails to any of your contacts absolutely free of charge and you don't have to translate your mails because women write back in English, and the prices for subscription are extremely modest (compared to what you will be charged on other sites).

ON ELENA'S MODELS:

- The women register on the site themselves;
- They receive your mails directly on the site;
- They respond to you directly through the site;
- You CAN ask them for their direct email addresses and phone numbers (no extra fees);
- You CAN go and see them in Russia, Ukraine or anywhere (no extra fees);
- You CAN send them unlimited mails and don't have to have pay the agency to translate them (no extra fees).
- The agency (ELENA'S MODELS) doesn't pay anything to women who use it, and women have no financial interest in talking to you but only to meet you and have a relationship.

Go to most other "leaders" in the "Russian brides" industry, and you are exchanging emails with the agency translator (and of course paying for translations every time) and it is known for a long time many women don't get to see your letters at all!

ON OTHER SITES ("SECOND TYPE" AGENCIES):

- The women CANNOT register on the site themselves, only through a "translation agency";
- They do NOT receive your mails directly on the site;
- They do NOT respond to you directly on the site;
- You CANNOT ask them for their direct email addresses and phone numbers (until you have paid to the agency hundreds of dollars for correspondence with this particular woman, only after this you are allowed to ask for her direct email address);
- You CANNOT just go and see them in Russia, Ukraine or anywhere (you have to pay "meeting fee" to the translation agency and then for a translator during your visit, so you are are never alone with the woman)
- You CANNOT send unlimited mails and have to pay for each email, which needs to be "translated" by the translation agency - and they also limit the length of your mails, too.
- The "translation agency" shares your money with women... women have financial interest in writing letters to you and talking to you, and they get paid more for "video dates" than for "mails" or "online chat". They have direct financial interest to have you using the agency for your communication. For many, it is a full-time job.

Most men spend THOUSANDS through those "second type" agencies before they get to the bottom line that they simply cannot establish a relationship this way and it all becomes too expensive -- and they only realize it after they have paid thousands of dollars to the agency for "translating letters" and "video dates" ($5 a minute in those agencies - minimum 10 minute date can be booked - free on Skype if you date through ELENA'S MODELS and asked her for her Skype name).

Are those (second type) agencies a scam?

Some men are so bitter they post their experiences everywhere (including this site) with exact facts of how much money they wasted and what results they got (none, nada, zero, zilch).

This all gets to the understanding of what you get for your money.

- Can you get her direct contact details INSTANTLY? (Yes - on ELENA'S MODELS; no - in the agencies of the second type.)

- Do women write their own letters? (Yes - on ELENA'S MODELS; no - in the agencies of the second type).

- Do you need to pay anything extra to the agency after the initial contact? (No, your initial contact fee is all you pay on ELENA'S MODELS; yes - in the agencies of the second type, you will have to keep paying more and more all the way, some of those agencies will also request a "marriage fee" from you if your relationship somehow manages to work out).

You can often see the same women in many dating agencies, both the agencies of the second type (translations - "video dates") and on ELENA'S MODELS. Truth is, women are joining many agencies and the huge difference is, can you get a real, DIRECT contact with the women or not?

For me the difference is clear and if you want something real, you know where to go and get value for your money. If you want to be trapped into paying thousands for translations and "video dates", and all you want is a supervised (by the translation agency) Internet romance, go ahead and join the many agencies of the second type, you will know who they are as soon as you are asked to pay for "video dates" and "translations".

I have used Elena Petrova's superb international dating/matchmaking site, ELENA'S MODELS, several times over the last 6 years, and on each occasion I was extraordinarily satisified with the product and with the financial agreement, namely, my payment to the company.  I am a United States resident and a doctor, so I am in a better position than an individual such as Robert to evaluate the services of a first-rate agency such as ELENA'S Models.

The women on Elena's Models are a minimum of 18 years of age, so I have never run afoul of the law in that regard.   Plenty of women are available for contact on the site, but the stated mission of the site is to give both parties the right to refuse a letter. So, in the course of my time of Elena's Models I have found women who were not interested in corresponding with me; I simply moved on to other fine ladies.  I did not blame the women or Elena.  IF anything, I would assign the blame, as it were, to fate, such as my having different interests from the lady or my not having her favorite hair color or eye color or my living in a country that does not suit her dreams.  

Robert's serious allegations may come from his failure to understand that the women are not obligated to like him or to reply to him; if they were, then they truly would be the 'prostitutes' that he alluded to; instead they are free agents, not mail order brides or women who are under the control of a pimp.   I know that no woman from Elena's MODELS ever propostioned me, ever asked me for money for anything, or ever asked me to do something illegal.  IF Robert had gotten his 'facts' straight, then he would have provided concrete proof of his allegations.

Robert is bitter about not knowing the specific address of the Elena's Models offices in Russia.   Of what purpose could such information be to him?  Is Robert mentally unstable or even a terrorist who plans to damage the buildings or harm the employees?  I cannot say one way or the other, but he certainly is disgruntled.  I also must mention that my not knowing the addresses of the Elena's Models offices never interefered with my enjoying the website.  I also doubt that Robert is really a Canadian; his English makes me think that he is a Slav, possibly the jealous owner of an inferior rival of Elena's MODELS who denigrates Elena's Models in the futile hope that it will make his own company better; such a tactic will  not meet with success very often, if ever.  You can fool some of the people some of the time, sure, but Elena's Models is a successful agency becvause it gives the people the product, that is, the women, that it promises.   

Regarding Robert's claim that www.agencyscams.com is run by an Alexey Ivanov who supposedly calls himself JIM, what is the point?  Robert, a skunk with a chip on its shoulder--perhaps you can relate firsthand to what I am saying, my antagonist from Edmonton--can call itself a squirrel, but it will stink just the same.  Alexey, Jim, Mother GOOSE, agencyscams.com: I know none of them and do not purport to; I have never had recourse to report Elena's MODELS anywhere, except to my friends when they ask me where they can find good, honest, intelligent, honorable women for correspondence and marriage at a great price. 

THE real victim of this ripoffreports debate is Elena Petrova, whose reputationhas been sullied, and Elena's MODELS.  Any grievance that Robert had with either of those entities should have been handled through proper channels, and this method/website is a poor one, at best.  Robert owes Elena an apology and millions of dollars for defamation.

What's your personal experience, Cliff? Has the site really been a success for you? You've been using it for years now. Are you married to someone you met from Elena's Models?

Someone else wrote that Robert claims to be an anglo from Canada yet sounds like an eastern European. Guess what? Eastern Europeans live in Canada and I don't think Robert claims to be Anglo.

Anyone who claims that Elenasmodels.com does not have some scammers on it cannot possibly know. Have they investigated every profile? Have they met every woman? A word to the wise: use your best judgment. Anyone who tells you that a dating site has no fraud is ignorant or lying. Even sites such as Match.com in the USA have scam artists.

YOU apparently are naive enough to swallow ROBERT's yarn.  I am not so gullible.  ROBERT appears to be a person who owns a company that is a rival of Elena's MODELS (EM) or he is a dupe that is employed by those persons.   IN any case, Robert's resorting to a second-rate method  such as ripoffreports to air his fantasies indicates the level of his pathology.

TO wit, I no more believe that ROBERT really had a bad experience with Elena's MODELS than I believe that black is beautiful, that illegal immigration is good for the USA,  or that Barack Obama is an honest man.  My experiences on EM are great ones; they are quite satisfying to me.  THE details are of no significance.

RObert deserved to be attacked personally, as I said before, because his story lacks credibility.  He never claimed to be anything, but his words depict him as a loser.

  I do not know what ethnic group he belongs to, but if he is a recent slavic immigrant who resides in Canada, then he must have contacts with people in his former country.  HE could find women through them, and if  not, then something is wrong with him.  

IF he is a canadian citizen of slavic ancestry, then his command of ENGLISH IS POOR; Canada requires its permanent residents to speak English or French, so again, I doubt the veracity of anything that Robert put forth in his statement. PERHAPS Robert speaks French well, but the majority of slavs in Eastern Europe learned English in school, not French.    

USMrecog, are you in the Marines?  IN any case, what are you doing reading ripoff reports and wasting your time & my money?  You are the perfect example of why the armed forces are a laughingstock that consists of criminals/illegal aliens, ignoramuses, and shirkers.   Moreover, who are you to criticize me?  IF YOU are  a US citizen and especially if you are in the armed forces, I am surprised that you can even read or write your own name.  Is your family on welfare?  I am surprised that  you are not busy knocking up the women around you, either your fellow armed forces personnel or the natives of Iraq or Afghanistan.

I met two wonderful ladies with the help of Elena's Models.  And when I needed help they were there on the phone and in detailed answer to my emails.

The first lady I met lived in Moscow.  We dated for a year, but amicably decided we were not right for each other and did not get married.  Too many people go to Russia, fall in love in a week and wonder why their marriage only lastes until the lady's green card is approved.  Think about it, it takes a while before you know you can really trust someone!!

The second lady I met has been my wife of four years!  I know many people who have used this site and are happy.  I don't know where this guy gets his 90% not real data. ???

From the English in this complaint, it looks like a Russian speaker.  Perhaps a competitor of Elena's Models with an axe to grind.

I used the site and services for 3 years.  Love the results, no complaints!

Oh, and by the way, my wife is an ex-runway model and drop, dead gorgeous!

Unlike the liars who pose as commentators of this report I wish to report complete dissatisfaction with this site.  This place provided very unsatisfactory and poor quality service especially in regards to customer service response which was completely negligent
