I have spent $3000.00 on IJL, and have 4 month left on my contract. I have only been on 5 dates so far, with caliber of men that I would meet in local Walmart, (as I read someone else stated).
The promise was to go on AT LEAST 14 dates! I have contacted my date coordinator several times and have not heard back. To make matters worse , I joined in California and the date coordinator is in Florida!!
I have been searching online for any class action law suite that might have been filed against this fraudulent organisation, but have not seen any in California. I have also filed this report with Consumer Reports, hoping to get the word out and keep other unsuspecting people from throwing their money away.

" I have also filed this report with Consumer Reports.."
Why would you do this? Consumer Reports provides ratings on Consumer goods by testing things from shoe laces to automobiles.
This just doesn't make any sense.
" I joined in California and the date coordinator is in Florida!!"
Why does it matter where the date co-ordinator is located while accessing the database for your dates?
Do they go out and personally field check the potential dates or just match you within the database listings? If it's the latter, they could be in outer space and accomplish the matches as long as they had a reliable data-link.
If it's really a big deal, move to Florida.

If you could scan a copy of your contract (whiting out any identifying info) and post it here it would help many others see what IJL really is.
As for Consumer Reports they have evaluated tax preparation services, fitness club chains and so on. Dating services would make a nice subject for them. Also, let the local news media know about your experiences. The IJL franchise owner (yes, they are franchised operations) will just love it.
I like how they created the new position of 'date coordinator' and moved that responsibility away from the franchisees office. It gives them a dump off excuse for the customer.
Would you like to bet that their 'database' is woefully populated??
File a small claims courts suit against the IJL office. They failed to execute their end of the agreement. You may even be able to get a former IJL office director/manager to testify on your behalf about how their system operates. When you get the court date make sure local media knows about it. They'll probably send a reporter to cover it. Another IJL advertising opportunity.............
