I am so glad I stumbled on this forum. I was taken for over $3,000 (contracted to have over 6 dates). I put my trust in Joann and her son Steve. Joann gives you this big song and dance of how she attends at-least 3 weddings a month because she is so successful...all lies! She just cons you into thinking she is some great person that makes matches and doesn't do it for the money...she just loves matching people...right!!!

She pawned me off on her son who met me at a very upscale restaurant. He interviewed me, showed me some profiles and said he had lots of men to set me up with. I finally get "the call". I was so excited. I met the first gentlemen who proceeds to tell me that he isn't in the service. Quote: "Are you kidding...I don't have to pay to get set up" He tells me that he is just friends with Joann and she sets him up on dates. He isn't interested in a serious relationship. WHAT? This happened on two more subsequent "set ups" The next 'match' was with a gentlemen who isn't even a US citizen. When I called to complain I was told that I am too difficult.

Then there is the additional monthly fee they added. They play this game where they tell you things like "it's the holidays - it's hard to match people during this time" or "it's the summer people are very busy, give us a few months and we'll get back to you." Meanwhile they charge you $20 a month to have access to the database. Wait, did I not spend $3,000 for this bogus service? Now I have to pay $20 a month to stay 'active' in your system...no thank you.

To top it off they now have their own show on VH1. I have contacts at MTV and are definitely going to make some calls. I can not believe they haven't been shut down. I think people are too embarrassed to admit they have been taken advantage of so they don't speak out.

Stay clear of these 'match makers' - they are scam artists!
