    ...the right way!
    Corporate Advocacy Program
There was a report by a gentleman in Nevada a while back that was ripped off by Great Expectations (GE) and he never used the service once! The company, of course, refused to repay his money but he took them to court and WON! He won on a principle called "Forfeiture", where one party gets thousands of dollars and the other party gets none! That is not a "meeting of the minds" and some states are recognizing this! I am attempting a similar endeavor with a dating organization called The Post Club in Newton Massachusetts!

The principles are the same as the gentleman from Nevada had and I am going to see if Massachusetts is a state that does not recognize "forfeiture" in a contractual agreement! I got nothing out of the organization, and I got a bunch of "run around" when I asked for a refund... stuff like "I can sell my membership, and that I should advertise in the Boston Magazine"! The problem is that the minimum ad in that mag costs $140 minimum! So I have tried other ways but to no avail! I asked the president of this company to simply sell the membership to a candidate that is not willing to pay the standard fee of $1600, for something like $900, (I initially paid $1200) and that way I get some of my money back and they get a new member and a dues paying participant (that was some $28/month back when I had started)! So we both win, but he would not have any part of that! Nope... they are a business first and that is where it stops! They got my money and they want yours!

But..., if "forfeiture" is decided in this court case, then that should be great knowledge that these places can't necessarily get away with their scams, and then they can go on notice that just because the internet is taking the business away from them, that's no reason to scam people in to get that contract signed and not deliver anything, particularly when they "wake up" and find out they were deluded by their selling tactics that run the gamut of things we usually only thought were in the arsenal of door to door sales people!

So I am doing this "rip-off" notice as precursor to another one that will be done when I do the court thing, which will be started in the September time frame, and I will then do another after the findings for everyone's edification on this principle! Stay tuned, but in the meantime stay away from this place, unless you want to just give your money away! Remember they are just a business and don't give a rats about you! He looks out for the business first and foremost, and as much as everyone needs to make a living... luring people in with one time deals of reduced payment if one signs right away, and fake stats about the demographics of the membership, and just an overall superficial imposed enthusiasm designed to get you to sign, is not a way to make a living, but I suppose for some it is! Just be forewarned and stay tuned for the results from the court findings! And if you want to buy a membership... then email me! (Though I doubt he'd go for it now, but wouldn't it be hoot to find out!)!

Dating Club ripoff (The Post Club) but there may be hope!!

AUTHOR: Stephen - Lexington (U.S.A.)

There was a report by a gentleman in Nevada a while back that he was ripped off by Great Expectations (GE) and he never used the service once!

(Nice ploy to get some free advertising!) The problem is that the minimum ad in that mag costs $140 minimum! So I have tried other ways but to no avail! I asked the president (Mark Goodman) of this company to simply sell the membership to a candidate that is not willing to pay the standard fee of $1600, for something like $900, (I initially paid $1200) and that way I get some of my money back and they get a new member and a dues paying participant (that was some $28/month back when I had started)! So we both win, but he would not have any part of that! Nope... they are a business first and that is where it stops! They got my money and they want yours, and they'll get it if you are a duped as I was! Mark Good man does not care if you get the person of your dreams here! He'd prefer that you didn't… that way you are a continued dues paying member! And the whole impact of the initiation cost is because people are now financially subjugated in, and feel to get their monies worth they stick with it, but only for dues that he continues to siphon off of you! And many get disgusted and want out, but now he's already got a fairly large chunk of your $$! Not a bad scam! They ALL work that way!

But..., if "forfeiture" is decided in this court case, then that should be great piece of knowledge that these places can't necessarily get away with their scams, and then they can go on notice that just because the internet is taking the business away from them, that's no reason to scam people in to get that contract signed and not deliver anything of value outside of their “enthused” presentation of what they sell (Sort of like ehxer salesmen of years ago)! And when the participant wakes up and finds out they were deluded by their selling tactics that run the gamut of things we usually only thought were in the arsenal of door to door sales people! These kinds of scams are happening more and more as these organizations find that the internet is a whole lot cheaper and is at ones own controls, as opposed to the “over-exuberant” intake person who has a myriad of sly tricks in her (its mostly always women) bag to get you signed up! If you read up on these rip-off scams by these organizations they have a standard way of taking advantage of the lost lonely souls, that wander into their liar! The credit checks, the woeful listening, the over-exuberance, the outright exaggerations about the class and quality and number of available opposite sex individuals the participant will have to pick from, the background checks (that are NOT DONE), the “one time offer” of deduction to sign up now, and (as predicted) the confusive contract that takes a huge AMOUNT of time to understand, but the “sign now” trick gets you hood-winked to do exactly that….sign! But, alas, maybe there is hope!

So I am doing this "rip-off" notice as precursor to another one that will be done when I do the court thing, which will be started in the September time frame, and I will then do another “rip-off posting” after the findings for everyone's edification on this principle! Stay tuned, but in the meantime stay away from this place and others like them, unless you want to just give your money away! Remember they are just a business and don't give a rat about you! The owner (Mr. Goodman) looks out for the business first and foremost, and as much as everyone needs to make a living..., luring people in with one time deals of reduced payment if one signs right away, and fake stats about the demographics of the membership, and just an overall superficial imposed enthusiasm designed to get you to sign with no way out of it, is not a way to make a living, but I suppose for some it is, and that is the freedom of America, but the window of businesses like this is may be closing due to the internet and their just plain shoddy business practices ! Just be forewarned and stay tuned for the results from the court findings! And if you want to buy a membership... then email me! (I'm at Skarlj@Rcn.com). Though I doubt Mark Goodman would go for it as he absolutely hates me now, and said I broke the contract with him, as he wanted the $28/month from me, which he didn't get when I said I wanted out! These places are cash-cows!

It's a shame men and women can't just get together naturally without the fear, but the oddities of the culture create a market for these places! And unwittingly people wander in, hoping for a miracle! I'm sorry, despite these organizations claims, miracles happen within and for yourself! These places create that false sense of security that we give them, and it cost s a lot of money! And they employ marginal people that can't get a job doing the normal things in life so given the gift of bullshit, and the fact that they work on some form of commission (they'll never tell you that!), your fodder for their inflated sense of miracle! Don't fall for it! And maybe my experience here will help many others that have similar circumstances! Wish me luck!

Forfeiture Fails

AUTHOR: Stephen - Lexington (U.S.A.)

At long last….. the vitals of American ingenuity and its desperate length it goes too to get your money are alive and living well, certainly at least here in the great liberal state of Massachusetts! The effort to see if forfeiture could work in this state are now a foregone conclusion that when it comes down to either you, or the business…, business will win! And so let that fact be known! The small claims court ruled in favor for the desperate entrepreneur, who stops at nothing to see that he gets your money! As for any sense of fairness or ruthless uses they employ to get you to sign, they are limitless, and if you do sign up with such vultures, you can pretty much figure it's gone, no matter what your circumstances! Hell, he had TWO lawyers that he used and I am sure they were on retainer, but I'd like to think that the bastard had to shell out something to use them as it is only deserving that such a scum-bag as Mark Goodman should be screwed in every and any which way he can for the bullshit crap he and many like him swing out there in the culture taking advantage of weaknesses that many have and are stupid enough to believe that idiots like him has a corner on the market of finding someone a someone they can call a mate! He does not care in the slightest and distorts, has his people lie and fabricate anything they can to get you to sign, and once you did, you are not only out a fair amount of cash, but subjugated to paying a monthly fee for the privilege of being a member of his sorry-ass club! I have spoken to three women that were members and the key word is “were”! They were disillusioned and fabricated too and the men they met were nothing like they purported them to be, and they are the suckers now, along with me! What a disastrous shame it is! So be forewarned, FORFEITURE does not work! And bastards like Goodman are just waiting to get you! One of these days, he will get his just reward…. I am pretty much hopeful of that and anything I can do to see that people DO NOT use this whacko is a step in the right direction!
