Yahoo Personal Yahoo Personals canceled within "trial period" and still getting charged monthly Internet Internet

I applied with Yahoo Personals for their "free seven day trial" period. I canceled within the trial period and then I see a charge of $24.95 on my bank account.

I went to all kinds of different websites of Yahoo sending complaints, requesting cancelation, and requesting a refund. I finally received an answer to one of them, don't ask me which one, there were so many. It requested a reply with my information.

I replied to the e-mail and they told me that my birthday was incorrect!!!! I only have one birthday and I am pretty sure I know it. I e-mailed them letting them know that I was getting fed up because by this time they took another payment of $24.95. I told them that I was going to notify the BBB.

Then I got another e-mail the next day giving me a phone number to call. It is the same number that is listed in another report and that consumer stated that it just rang and rang so I don't know how far that will go but I just received the e-mail today so I will see tomorrow.

I work all day everyday on the computer and on the internet for my job. I know how to get around the internet and I found it extremly difficult to cancel. As a matter of fact it still isn't canceled because I don't know my birthday. I have reported them to the BBB, so I will see what happens and I am going to take the advice from the others that have filed reports and I am going to call my bank and dispute the charges.

I would not recommend using Yahoo Personals or any paid services through Yahoo. I am not the only one I know personally that got taken. My mother also signed up the same time I did and the exact same thing happened to her. I would definetly be interested if an attorney would like to take up a suit against Yahoo Personals.
