Charles Lynn Jackson (formerly of Huntsville Alabama) is a dead beat father who is over $4,000 behind in child support, refuses to maintain his daughters health insurance (or provide proof of it), or any other orders in our divorce decree, ignores my pleas, my attorney, as well as his own attorneys request (this is his second attorney on file who will no longer represent him, as he could never get his own client to respond to him). His first attorney told mine that his client never paid him so he would no longer represent him. Yeah, join the club!
He has now moved out of state to Apex North Carolina and his current wife (who he was also involved with during our marriage) was involved in a horrific crime involving robbery and drugs and resulted in a murder (see al.com, or waff.com, or waaytv.com Joseph Steakly murder) back in December 2007. She is awaiting trial charged with capital murder in Alabama. Its all a matter of public record, I'm not here to slander or lie about a single thing. She was indicted by a grand jury in December 2007.
When he moved to North Carolina in Feb/March 2007 his father paid his child support for him until August 2007. When he quit doing that, I had to track Mr. Jackson's employer down, and file an order for garnishment of his wages or I still wouldnt be getting a dime. Charles "Lynn" Jackson and his wife have 2 children together and from what I gather, are living the life of suburbia in their new town where he's working for a tire company, not sure of his position. I don't care what he has, all I have ever asked for is that he do whats right and what is court ordered for his daughter. No more, and no less. He also currently making (reported by his own employer in his garnishment papers) twice what he made when I had child support figured in 2000 and what I do get is a disgrace in comparrison to what he will be paying if I pursue that.
Also take into account that he lives out of state so its not as if he ever feeds, houses or provides anything for her at all any of the time.
Over the past eight years he's received more than 20 letters from my attorney, and myself and ignored all of them. ONLY when he is afraid of being taken to court does he respond, makes a promise so that Ill drop it, then does NOTHING about it. He's done this over and over and over. I have been more than reasonable and fair with him. I have avoided taking him to court for our daughters sake.
In March 2008 he wrote me a letter stating he would make good on his back due child support, his daughters health insurance (which I had to secure other coverage because for two years he refused to insure her, or provide proof, not sure which) and other things he's currently in contempt of court on if I agreed to hold off on filing suit. He is also to maintain a life insurance policy with his daughter as beneficiary (which he has never done) and said he'd have that to me within a week. He made one small payment toward his back support to me on March 31, 2008 and nothing ever again. No policy, no nothing, no further payments as promised. But he's played this game for 8 years, why change now.
The most unfortunate part of the entire situation is that he has a beautiful, sweet little girl whos now 12 and deserves so much better than Charles Lynn Jackson for a father. He has infrequent (at best) contact with her even though she has a cell phone (that his parents pay for) so that they can keep in touch. Look up Dead Beat Dad in the dictionary, is it defined as Charles Lynn Jackson? Must be. When it comes to the treatment of his daughter anyway.
