Dentist Kevin Vu of AAA Dentist in Houston, TX worked on my wife's tooth that needed treatment as it was not aligned correctly. First, this dentist took out the whole tooth, and advised us to wait a few months so that he will be able to do the implant. Losing a front tooth for a 20 year old girl affects life in many ways. Then, he kept telling us to have a partial denture - fake tooth - which will hide the defect. We never had insurance and used to pay him out-of-pocket for every visit with no progress in the treatment. Beginning of 2009, we did obtain Dental Insurance Coverage through Metlife from my employer, and Dr. Vu was provided with the Insurance info. He took advantage of us, charged insurance of every possible thing that he could think of: Cleaning, 3 Fillings, Sealant, parital denture(which he had alreay been paid for out-of-pocket.) He never did any of the other services he charged for. Plus, his assistant broke that partial denture, after which he tried giving us a new one that never fit my wife.

We found out about his frauds only when we got acknowledgement from Metlife. Tried having Dr. Vu explain the charges to us, and he kept ignoring our requests for appointment until we finally were treated very rudely in his office, as he also made racial comments and threatened to get us arrested just because we asked him a question about the charges we were notified of by the Insurance Co.
