I signed up last year 2010 to Care Credit owned by GE money Bank for some dental work that was $468. I'm now learning this was a big mistake as Care Credit despite stating they had errored still require me to pay their high fees for their mistake.
Back in August of 2010 I made my payment on their website like I normally do and twice when making a payment since I have had their service their website sometimes would give an error which would give infor to call a number that does not work but to play it safe I would check my bank to see if any trancactions were processed and if not would try again. In august I had made my payment online and had gotten this error for a second time and looked at my bank statement online. It showed GE moneybanks payment had processed and was pending to printed out a copy for my records. Almost two weeks later the pending amount fell off and was never charged and when I logged on I noticed a late fee so called them and sent them a copy of my printed statement showing their error that they even adknowledged. I paid the monthly payment again plus the new month we were in minus the late fee and instead of fixing this issue they hit me with more late fees and after several calls they still refuse to fix the issue plus as of February they added on so many fees the $468 has turned to over $1100 plus they have not only called my home phone 7 times+ a day they call my medical phone as well which is my mistake as I used it to call them and they got the second number via caller ID. I have now filed a small claims subpoena electronically against them and am awaiting the court date.

It's almost two months to small claims court against GE moneybank. Court dates in November. I got a call from my brother recently that some lawfirm had called my mom looking for me. Was trying to figure out why and why they didnt call me instead when I called them and at first had no clue who they were until almost like trying to pull teeth got it out of them they were representing GE and denied making such calls. Phone bill shows otherwise. Anyway, I again informed them that they may not handle the case as its filed in small claims and no attorney may represent anyone, and that all decisions finale, that is for the plaintiff, GE if they lose and will with the evidence can appeal once, and they must pay fees plus the second decision finale and may not be brought to any higher court. This lawfirm who already has been served is trying to state they bought the debt and that the lawsuit will not apply to them and they will collect no matter what CA law states.
