Dr. Worth said she would replace my 10 year old veneers (which I loved, but two were showing some wear and tear and my old dentist is 300 miles away now).
SHe had a great chair-side manner when she was selling me on her products and services. I got 'sweetied' and 'you're so cute' all day long. Once I signed for $20k+ worth of veneers, the nightmare began.
First of call, she was badmouthing and whispering about the patients in the waiting room and the adjacent room while she was washing up. I heard that someone was a real baby, that another person's bite 'was not her problem,' and on and on. I was shocked.
The real issue is that she did my upper teeth, and put temps on while the real veneers were being made. When I went back for the finals, and wanted to see them before she cemented them in, she said NO, just look at them while you are upside down here in the chair, and approve them. I thought, well, she is the expert, so I approved them as I was upside down in the chair.
SHe cemented them in, sat me upright, and gave me the mirror. I was horrified. I was so sad. They were not the shade I approved (yellower than my natural teeth!) and the incisors were jumbled. It looked like I needed braces. They were awful. I told her I was not in love with them, and she told me to live with them and she loved them. So I went home and smiled for my husband.
The look on his face said it all. He got quiet, and then we both started freaking out that they were too dark and crooked.
I called and Dr Worth was very unprofessional while I said I was unhappy. I asked to come back and have new ones put in, and she said well we will see.
Long long story short, I went back, the front desk, the assistant, all of them were so RUDE to me (they had been prepped that I was coming back) and you could cut the tension with a knife. The only reason I did not run out is that she basically owed me a new set of teeth, so I sucked it up and acted nice and super kind.
So, she redid my veneers, and was so rough and mean that I felt beyond upset. But I focused on the outcome and just got through it.
The second set of veneers came back, and I asked her if she could place them in my mouth, then let me see them before she cements them (with temp cement or whatever she would like to use).
She said NO, that is not the way I work, and this is just perfect so lie back.
I did, and they were the same. Maybe a little whiter, but just as crooked. I think they were the same teeth? Some of them were the same teeth. I would describe them as hillbilly. And my OLD veneers were stunning. These were, again, awful.
After telling her that these were worse, she lost her cool and told me that I HAD A PROBLEM with perfection.
I contacted an attorney, and sued her. I dropped it after 6 months, as she had two other lawsuits pending, and the attorney was costing me a fortune.
I had all the veneers taken off by a new doctor in Newport Beach and he did a stunning job. I told him what I had been through and he told me had done many 'redos' from Dr Worth. He said her reputation is DRAGON LADY.
