My wife was a patient of Dr. Worth. At first, we were happy to find her, with all of her credentials and all. She was the dentist on the show "The Swan", so she had to be good. She was also referred to us by the fitness trainer on the show, Greg. Things were fine at first, but as soon as some of the work started to go bad, she wouldn't fix the problem. She started to blame my wife, saying it was her fault. She blamed the medication she was taking. I talked to her regular physician and did some research on the internet to see if her story held water. After talking to a few physicians and doing some, in depth research, I have found that she is full of crap. The only reason she blames this on other things, is because she has no scruples. Maybe she is used to dealing with the higher clientèle of Newport Beach, where $2,000 for a crown is not a big deal.
My wife has had 2 crowns fail, not after 3 or even 4 or more years, but less than 2 years. One of the crowns failed after just a year. When we brought it up to her, she said it was the medication my wife was taking, but there has been no research to back this story up. She did offer to lower her price by $200.00, but if something goes wrong after a year, I think she should have taken care of the problem. We have spent more than $10,000 with her for various things such as crowns and a bridge, but that failed after 1 year. Even after a couple of days, the front tooth or bridge started to turn dark. She was forced to use one of those home bleaching kits at home to keep it white enough to match the other tooth. It would have been such a big deal if it weren't her front tooth. She told us that it came loose and there was nothing that she could do about it. Wow! Great customer satisfaction there! Two days after some of her work was done, she couldn't do anything about it. Oh! thats right! We paid her already.
I feel cheated and upset. Not only does she blame us for some of the problems, but she doesn't back of her work. I myself, am in the service industry. If one of my clients come to me and complain, I do everything in my power to fix the problem, even if it requires me to give back their money. My reputation is everything. I read one of the other entries, from a former employee of hers, and he nothing but great things to say about her. I don't think he is a credible person to comment on her services, because he has or had a personal relationship, other than just a client, of hers. Of course she is going to go above and beyond for a friend or employee. I have read some others and we seem to be in the same boat. Not only did she loose my wife as a client, but her mother as well, who is a high profile Newport Beach Realtor. She is upset as well, and I'm sure she won't be a great source of new clients. Too bad.
