I purchased a tv from Goodwill which worked in the store, I don't know how they did it but it did NOT work at home. I lost $35 which is not too terrible but they have no excahnges nor refunds there. The picture was distorted when I got home.

Here is the funny thing. I was in there shopping one day after this incident because I still love the store and a lady who is a regular customer told me that she had bought about a dozen tv's from there and only one worked right so she would never purchase electronics there again. I told her that the same thing happened to me and that I would never buy an electronic item also, unless maybe an alarm clock. She said that all the tvs she bought also worked in the store. How is that possible, she said she thinks it has to do with the wiring.

Anyway I wanted a spare tv and how they hook it up to work is beyond me.

Another time after this I was looking at collectibles, I rarely shop for clothes or shoes there. I found a crystal rose and I did not see a price on it. There rule is if it is not marked it has to go to the back for pricing and will come out in 24 hours. Well I showed the manager this to see if he could have it priced for me and he said it would go to the back for 24 hours. Another employee, a young man was standing beside him when he picked it up and said it is broken. It was missing a petal which I did not even notice. The manager said no it isn't and then said I will price it for you. He priced it and handed it back to me. I did not notice the petal broken at first either and then I saw it.

That is when I realized that the manager must have known it was broke and that was why he did that, I know it because he was just about to take it to the back.

I am still shopping there because of the great collectibles that they get in (sometimes).. I am upset because they are suppose to get rid of any broken items instead of trying to sell it. I have bought items broken that I did not realize until I got home also, I am more careful to look and inspect all items now.

I do absolutly know that they "know" they are selling broken tv's! How can they not know, I know they have had a ton of complaints at our local Goodwill. If I am not the only one who got a bad seed then there must be somthing fishy. It really upsets me because people who don't have much often shop at thrift stores.

I have donated a LOT to that thrift store also!

Another problems that I had is that my mom and I bought 5 pairs of shoes. 2 of them looked liked new and only cost $4 something each and was a steal and the others were in pretty good shape. One of the ones that looked like new had a sole that had been glued on and it broke the first time my mom wore it. I went and bought some more super glue and fixed it. A goodwill employee must have glued it back on. when the person donated it. One pair I had looked like new and Is still in great shape, I have had a ton of compliments on it.

Shopping at Goodwill is a complete gamble,, but it shouldn't be. I like older collectibles and I love to continue to shop there for the deals.

Sometimes they price jeans with tags like $10-15 which is still too much, there other jeans are a flat rate of like $5.79.

Sometimes there prices are what you would pay in the store. I have often seen dollar tree items sold for $1.21 and that don't make since. They should have them listed at 77 cents or less. I have seen other items WAY over priced also which is NOT right. I have gotten several deals but it just depends on the pricing, some people do not know what they are doing & price items too high which do not get sold and unfortunatly end up in salvage.

There purses are $2.60 each and I have gotten a few really nice purses also.

I just think that are Jonesboro location needs a change. They need to not put out broken items, I have been cut on a few occassions and they need to not sell any tvs at all if they are broken. I mean talking to that lady and what she told me & I having the same experience can't be a coincidence.

THey make all that money which is FREE that has been donated and they need more employees also. There toy isle stays a mess and kids drag out all the toys and it is dangerous, someone can get hurt. People need to watch over there kids and keep them with them at ALL times. Goodwill employees also need to make sure it is safe, I have almost tripped several times.
