I went to rite aid for 2 items. The first was a toy for my grandchild. I saw Cabbage Patch Kids packages with 2.99 taged under them. I chose 2. Next I needed vitamins. There was a large 2' sign stating ALL vitamins with the brand G.V.N. or something similar, was buy one get one free. The vitamin e bottles were further reduced at 5.99 each. I chose 2 bottles of vitamin e.
When I reached the checkstand I was charged 6.99 for each plastic toy, and 18.99 for each bottle of vitamin e.
I was shocked, and refused the items.
I went back to the shelves and saw that the tag was for another toy, not the one displayed above the price tag.
The vitamins in the section of the 5.99 sale were the wrong size,
the sale vitamins contained 90 tablets, while the ones above the price tag contained 120 tablets. Also, in very tiny print, the size of this print, there was a statement that said the sale vitamins were not 2 for 1 price. The real price for the vitamins I brought to the checkstand was 10.99 for 2. Why the 18.99 is unknown to me.
I told the manager that I thought the stores tactics were fraudulent and deceptive. He agreed with me.

First of all, throughout the course of any given day, products are rummaged through by customers. Products especially handled are sale products. It's a strong possibility that products were placed into wrong places displaying the INCORRECT shelf tag for an item. It's possible that items were 'price changed' but that paticular item was missed. Things happen, out of human error. Both customers and employees are responsible. But in NO WAY is Rite Aid going to "deceive" you purposely. When customers come into my store with issues such as that, generally we give them the price they thought they were going to pay. Filing a rip-off report is unnecessary. Rite Aid did not rip you off. If you would have asked, you probably would have been given the price.
Any good, customer friendly store will generally give the customer what they want.
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.
