This is another Ripoff Report against A Solid Gold Sound,John Kruer (The Owner) sent me an email personally saying that my measly $200.00 was sent out, sounds pretty normal right ? WRONG,This is the 9th email from them saying my check is on the way.The wedding I did for them was on Sept.19th.All DJ's, Brides, Grooms and Videographers do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY,they wont pay you DJ's and Vid's and then they'll ask you to work for them again before you've been paid for the first gig.DON'T FALL FOR THEIR BULLS**T,you will NEVER be paid for the gig.I have contacted BRIDES magazine and posted on Craigslist warning all my fellow DJ's across the country to stay away from these con men. They ripped off the wrong guy,now I'm going to destroy them.

Contracted fee received after 8 weeks

AUTHOR: Angrydj2008@gmail.com - Tobeanounced (U.S.A.)

Cancelled attorney appointment on 12/02, fee was received after many emails and many phone calls, including a knock down drag out arguement on the telephone, 8 weeks after being contracted to do an event.

The check that was addressed to me from Mayfield Heights, Ohio was orginially postmarked Nov. 13th, 30 days after the event and postdated for Nov. 23rd. I received a phone call, claiming good news, the check was returned to the office on Nov. 29th.

I was told it would be sent to me on Monday, Dec. 1st. It was mailed via USPS Priority Mail on 12/01.

I received the unopened orginial envelope as discussed on 12/02.

Happy to have received the fee, however, I am puzzled at how the envelope was lost in the mail, the mailing name & address was correct (except for leaving off the "Drive" part of my street name) and now that I have the original envelope in my hands, it has no distinct markings typically used by the postal service to insure that a piece of mail is returned to it's origin, such as "return to sender", "undeliverable" or "no such address" and the post master said it would have to have some such marking to get back to the sender. I have a photo.

Lastly, John called me this morning and asked me to amend my statements here on ripoffreports.com. I have amended this post to reflect my conscience.

John, thanks for reading my post, I was impressed with the tactics you used to persuade me to change my comments, especially the part about "sexual advances" and "stolen table clothes". I hope you continue your 400 hours of volunteering with your Christian Church, you are really a great guy! Keep up the great work there at ASGS.

they owe more than the contracted fee

AUTHOR: Tired Of Fighting - West Linn (U.S.A.)

I found this rather odd section of the USC that allows for interest to be charged to the contractor (Solid Gold Sound) under 39 USC 3901 (a)(4)(ii)(I) which states

"(4) for the purposes of determining a payment due date and the

date upon which any late payment interest penalty shall begin to

accrue, the head of the agency is deemed to receive an invoice -

(A) on the later of -

(i) the date on which the place or person designated by the

agency to first receive such invoice actually receives a

proper invoice; or

(ii) on the 7th day after the date on which, in accordance

with the terms and conditions of the contract, the property

is actually delivered or performance of the services is

actually completed, as the case may be, unless -

(I) the agency has actually accepted such property or

services before such 7th day; or"

The acceptance of the property or service is defined as the actual performance of the event that we were all contracted for.
