October 25th 2008 was my wedding reception date. I called A solid gold sound because they had the best prices indeed. The staff at first was very friendly and helpful. Of course, this is before they took my money. After I paid for all services, something happened. When I was told my DJ was supposed to call me, I had to call him! it was a couple weeks before the wedding and they told me he was supposed to call. He never did.

He had no idea what I ordered for songs and I had to request certain songs by email that he did NOT play anyway at teh reception. I asked the DJ to announce a 10 second rememberance to my husbands mother and instead of the saying the last name Hough like it is said and pronounced, he said 'Howell'. I felt like a complete idiot because my husband thought I did not know how to spell or say it.

Then, the songs I requested were not played in full and he would cut out songs and play others in the middle of a dance! Then came the time for my DVD's to be edited and sent to my address. They never arrived! I called this malfunctioning company 3 or 4 times to ask for my DVD's and every time I called they would have a different excuse or would try to brush me off. The last email I got I was told that one of their editors was a cancer patient and they were set back 6 months; in other words, short handed. This is my problem why? I'm sympathetic but 2 months for a damn DVD to be edited. This is not the fricken movies, this is a 3 hour DVD. I'm not convinced at all I'm being told the truth considering all the other complaints about this company Ive seen.

Then I replied by telling John how frustrated I was and proceeded by saying I was going to get an email specifying why my DVD's are late. Didnt you just tell me it was because you were short staffed? This is why I think this is all a lie! No one will answer my questions satisfactoruly, I keep getting the brush off, and I'm tired of the run around. I think something either happened to my DVD's or they just do not want to be upfront with me.

If this keeps up, I'm going to fightr for a refund. I have read many disturbing blogs from other dissatisfied consumers and I can definitely relate. I ordered a service and paid good money for terrible service. Not only that, but when the videographer was finished, she just left without letting me know. It was all very unprofessional and it was as if I was asking for too much. Just plain sickening.
