A Solid Gold Sound LIED, DOUBLE CHARGED, NO DJ CHOSEN EVEN 1 WEEK BEFORE OUR WEDDING! ALBANY , New York

September of 2008 I called and spoke with A Solid Gold Sound about a DJ for our wedding scheduled 8/22/09. I decided to book them. I put a deposit down of $100.00.

In the beginning of 2009 I called to touch base and I was told it was way to early and that a "operations manager" would contact me in July. Towards the end of July I still had not heard from A Solid Gold Sound. I called again and was told they could not appoint me a DJ until the remainder of the bill was paid in full. I explained to them that my father in law had already mailed the check but A Solid Gold Sound stated they had not received it.

I waited until August 7th 2009 thats 15 days prior to our wedding and still we had not spoken to our DJ. I called and spoke with their operations manger who continued to tell me no check was received. I gave him my check card of the remainder balance which was $630.00. The following Monday Aug 10th I contacted their operations manager and again was given the run around and was given NO DJ.

We decided on August 17th 5 days before our wedding we needed to find another DJ service due to never being appointed a DJ from A Solid Gold Sound. Thats when we found out not only did they cash the check my father in law sent but they charged my Credit card also.

We have made so many phone calls and even drove by the address that was given where they had a local office and to no surprise there was no such business there. It is now Sept 23rd a month from our wedding and we continue to get the run around we have been told the check is in the mail but neither my father in law or myself have received a dime from this company. We are now contacting a lawyer and will fight til we receive all our money back.

This company is a scam and made our pre wedding stress 10x what it should have been. Please do not get fooled into thinking your getting a good deal. In fact when we contacted other local D j's they said A Solid Gold Sound are sub contractors and they also had been contacted by A Solid Gold Sound to cover some of their gigs last minute.

I can not stress enough how much stress and anger this has caused. I am sharing my story in hopes others will not go through what we did.
