My name is Eric Scott Gold, and I have been the face of Classy Event Group since August of 2010, post this alleged wedding failure. First, as the current GM of Classy Event Group, I assure you that we are not an unprofessional DJ company. We are actually members of the 5 biggest organizations in town, and I have over 50 positive reviews from the last 15 months plastered on 7 different internet sites. Although I was not around for this wedding, I have all the details, and as someone not mentioned in this article, I'd like to share them with you.
First, her name is NOT Michelle (If you are going to put members of my current and former staff out to the general public, and share your story, you should at least be willing to be honest with yours). Her name is Loni & her husbands name is Daniel. They were married on July 10th, 2010 (14 plus months ago), at the Japanese Friendship Garden. On her contract, which I have in my hands, it reads a totally different DJ then any of the names she mentioned above. To make a long story short, the gentleman who she hired left the company in March of 2010, and Peyton (my current partner), made every effort to find her an ample replacement in the short time frame. In this business, you can not tie up your talent (the gentleman who moved on), and force them to stay with your company, especially if he/she has a better offer elsewhere. That is what happened, and there was nothing Peyton could do about it.
Second, the court date was this past summer, and Classy Event Group did NOT lose. I also have the paperwork on that in my hands. Loni was awarded less than 1/3 of her money back, as the judge did not find suitable evidence to award in her favor.
As far as some of her other accusations, I'm not going to entertain them with a response. I will say that as the current chair of Classy Event Group, we have, and will continue, to maintain one of the best reputations in town. We are on the preferred vendors list at over 45 hotels/resorts/venues, and have a track record second to non. This is our one and only incident report in 10 years, and while we can not stop people from writing them, we can respond to them. If someone, like Loni, feels strong about her opinions, she is more then welcome to share them publicly. That is the great thing about America and our constitution. Our freedom of speech, and our first amendment rights. I would hope though in the future that if anyone has an issue with any members of my staff or product, that they call me directly. You can find out all my information at www.classyeventgroup.com. Thank you for your time.

The facts:
I won in court against Classy Event Group and against Peyton Vincent (whose real name is Robert), per public record at the San Diego Superior Courthouse.
The fact that Eric at Classy Event Group is trying to deny this is further evidence that they are unreliable business people.
Robert, going by his pseudonym Peyton, AND CLASSY EVENT GROUP, lost because of the way they handled themselves with regards to my wedding.
Cameron and Nick are named on the final contract that was drawn up – further evidence that their records are shady, given that Eric is trying to deny they were named on my contract with Classy Event Group.
Furthermore, Eric’s claim that Classy Event Group and/or Peyton weren’t offering dj services for my wedding is another complete lie. Peyton (ie Robert) claims to be the founder of Classy Event Group and Classy Photo Booths and La Jolla DJs – the fact that they have any contract of mine is further evidence of this! Just because they change their name midstream does not mean that they are not the same TERRIBLE people who will actively try to ruin the best day of your life.
Take Eric’s rambling, poor grammar, and personal digs as further evidence of how CLASSY EVENT GROUP and its staff will treat you. My name is correct, by the way.

From the desk of Eric Scott Gold:
So taking the high road I assume wasn't enough for Loni. With that being said, I'd like finish this thread with a few more things.
I called AND e-mailed Loni today to discuss this like adults, but instead of responding to me, she decided to go back on this thread, in a public forum, and continue to express herself.
The fact that she is still harping on this 14 months after the fact is baffling to me, but it is what it is.
The fact that she is now throwing my name into this mix as one of the "terrible" people is even more baffling.
Lastly, you can't please everyone. If it makes her feel better to say that she won in court, it is what it is. I have more important things to do today then deal with this nonsense. My grammar aside, TTYL!

Loni
So after you filed this report, someone else filed a report. After seeing that report, I wanted to post this to you. I found out some more information, and maybe I didn't get the whole story. Hopefully, this helps, but I do want to apologize to for not taking the high road from the beginning.
From the desk of Eric Scott Gold: GM - Classy Event Group
First, let me say that 15 months ago (August 2010), I made the jump from Philadelphia to San Diego, and brought my 15 years of experience with me. I inherited a staff when I arrived, and it took me some time to weed through that staff, discovering the problems, and finding solutions. It wasn't going to happen over night, but in time, I managed to work it out. La Jolla DJ's has been an entity in San Diego for almost 10 years. In October, 2010, we took several companies (Peyton & I), and formed Classy Event Group. You will see on the website that there are only two of us listed. Before I arrived, Peyton had another partner. They were together for quite some time. In March, 2010, that partner left to pursue his own ventures, leaving Peyton to go at it alone. Now, I speak from the heart: Peyton is an awesome guy, who is loved by his peers, but he's not the best communicator. He is sort of the behind the scenes guy, but when that partner left, he was forced to deal with both ends of the equation. When we hooked up, it took me some time to get acclimated with San Diego and his system. Once I got to that point, I took over the role with clients and the public sector, and he went back to doing the behind the scenes technical stuff. I assure you that if I was the one who handled your event, things would have turned out much different. I can't go back in time though, which sucks. I can say that I apologize for your wedding being under par, and I would honor the opportunity to try and make it up to you, the best I can. I know I wasn't around for your wedding, as I was still in Philadelphia, but I'm here now, and maybe there is something I can do for you. Maybe make that professional photo show that you wanted from the beginning. I still have that envelope to drop off to you if you'd like to receive that before the holidays.
Please let me know.
Eric
PS - If this is the first time anyone from our company apologized to you, I'm sorry it took this long. I posted some stuff below for you or anyone else who reads this. I hope you allow me to fix this. Thanks.
About me: 15 months ago, my wife and I came here from Philadelphia to run this company in the social sector. Whatever happened before I got here, or during my informational gathering period, was completely out of my control. What I can say moving forward is that it's now 100% percent in my control, and I will continue to make every effort to clear our name. My wife is a former member of the United States Air Force, and I have a plethora of awards in this industry up and down the east coast. We don't work that way, and we're not that kind of people. This company is moving forward, and I would hope that anyone else with an issue from the past can e-mail me directly at eric@classyeventgroup.com. If you have something, anything, negative about our company, I want to hear it, so that I can make sure it never happens again.
PS - Here are a year's worth of my testimonials & a clip from my personal wedding:

- I hope after looking at my profile, you will see that Classy Event Group has a brand new face. This is who you are dealing with now when you book Classy Event Group. I would hope that all these people in the testimonial video would back that up.
