Dr. Eckstein's "official" reports and court testimony are outrageously inappropriate, lacking any first-hand knowledge but rather only tragically manipulated information from abusive ex-spouses and their manipulative attorneys. And yes, we agree that any licensed psychologist can see right through this. But not Dr. Eckstein. Instead, she affirms the "reports" of the abuser and his team. She outright states, to the shock of her colleagues, that she "can only go by the reports she was given." It is tragic that this is a licensed doctor, in our opinion, and we ask that you be careful and do your own research.
Dr. Katalin Eckstein's lack of insight and hot temper keeps families apart for years. She does not unite and heal but rather rages that she must tear apart these families; apparently, she believes she is "saving" the children.
Without any contact with the children's or parent's genuine treating psychologists. Those psychologists have called her cases, as well as those of her colleague Diane Van Ness, the "sickest" they've come across in their entire careers.
She refused all contact and refused any and all efforts at family therapy in our cases, too.
It takes years and several professionals to undo the "therapy" Dr. Eckstein bestows upon these unfortunate child patients. We agree with the other writers on this site that these children were never abused by the protective parents in these cases.
She refused all contact with the treating profesisonals in our case(s),too. She hot-temperedly raged that she will only go by the "reports" and that the "reports" can't all be wrong. Our wish is that she could spend just 24 hours in the trenches of family court to see what is truly behind these "reports."
Dr. Eckstein's less than objective presence is unfortuately not able to be recommended by us. We say this for the greater good of families and children in Miami-Dade County. The families she has left in her wake have spent years and fortunes and heartache trying to overcome the ravaging that she has bestowed. The scars she has left on the children who were torn apart as a result of her rages, lack of insight, and false claims of child abuse, run deep, and yet, they have made these children stronger and wiser for it. But only by the help of other professionals.
