Just for the record, no patient named Yvette has ever had Botox or fillers in
our office so I assume the person who wrote the false accusation is a competitor
or disgruntled former employee.
Here at the Laser & Vein Center of North Jersey we
offer an array of cosmetic medical procedures (Botox, Dermal Fillers, Laser Skin
Treatments, Laser Hair Removal, SmartLipo) as well
as medical procedures for varicose veins and venous insufficiency. Some may
categorize the first grouping as "medspa" services, but most of these procedures
are done by trained physicians, not by "med spas." In fact many med spas do not
have a physician in attendance for any of their procedures. We do not claim
to be a Medical Spa and do not want to be a Med Spa. Simply put, we are just so
much more! Dr. Seaver has over 25 years of experience as a surgeon and is an
expert in treating vascular problems as well as Varicose and Spider veins. He
has two board certifications in his areas of expertise and has undergone
extensive training in all of the procedures we offer at our clinic. We are
licensed and registered with the State, as is required. Our fees are in line
with or low, as compared with other comparable facilities.
Although there is a bit of a gray area when it comes to
nurses or physician assistants administering fillers in the State of
New Jersey, it really is irrelevant because Dr. Seaver performs
all of our dermal filler procedures. Simply stated, no nurse or other worker in
our office has ever performed a dermal filler procedure on one of our patients,
no matter how qualified.
In regards to the accusation of pressuring our
patients into doing treatments, that is just not the case. When we meet with
patients in regards to their skin concerns, there are often a number of methods
that we offer to treat their particular issues. We educate the patient and even
inform the patient of alternatives that are not done at our office. For example,
if a patient is concerned with under eye wrinkles, we would suggest a series of
arctic peels or a deeper Micro Laser Peel if appropriate. However, we discuss
fractionated procedures, less invasive procedures available, as well as less
costly pulsed light alternatives. But, to protect the patient's time and
investment it is our responsibility to recommend that the patient compliment
their peels or facial treatments with a series of Botox injections,
fillers and/or a regimen of topical anti-oxidants. There is no ONE solution when
it comes to the battle against sun damage, environmental stresses and aging!!!!!
It often requires a multifaceted approach and yes, procedures with expensive
machines are not inexpensive, but many alternatives can be very affordable
with excellent results.
Patients want to feel better, look better and look
younger, even in this bad economy. People who have higher self esteem are more
confident and positive in the workplace. What person would not try to improve
their self confidence and improve their marketability?
