adorablebullz.com accepted a MoneyGram payment from me in the amout of $1350 for the purchase of a bulldog puppy they had listed on their website by the name of Armani. This price was to include her price of $1200 plus a shipping cost of $150. On Monday 10/26/09 I sent them the money. The following day these people requested an additional $300 for a DNA Analysis test they stated was a requirement for shipping. I had a bad feeling in my stomach. After doing research I confornted them that this was not a AKC requirement and the test did not cost that much. They told me that they made a mistake in the Email and not to worry our puppy would be sent to via airlines on Thursday 10/29/09. On Thurday morning they contacted us through an Email and stated that Mark Weldon was on the way to the airport and would contact me with the flight information. That never came. They never responded to another Email again. Please be aware of these people. The are using the names Mark and Betty Weldon. In my resaerch they have traveled from state to state under assumed names. Word of advise, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Thanks for sharing. The loss of a prospective pet is truly heartbreaking. That said, you should have known better. 

I am grateful to you that you did go ahead and then FINALLY do research with the AKC but by then it was TOO LATE!! I'm so sorry for you!! I am not associated with AKC but advocate for them because it seems the best way to avoid these TERRIBLE NO-CONSCIENCE (sp?) SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO DONT VALUE ANIMALS LIVES AT ALL HOW SICKENING.

BUYER BEWARE: A reputable breeder does not advertise on sites with cutesy names like pups4u2luv.com or Poos4u.com. Any breeder who lists more than two breeds with more than one or two litters at a time is likely pretty shady. Also note that on these web sites there are about often 20 types of dogs being advertised for sale, not all of whom are "purebred". Also - why don't they ever list the exact weight of mom and dad or post pictures of them? Because they are listing a range of what normal adult dogs of that breed typically weigh, because they are not in touch with the mom and dad of the litter - a common clue that the dogs are not being treated well or even being watched over by the puppy mill owner or so called breeder ("commercial breederrs" fyi are puppy mill owners). and treat them terrible. If you want an AKC registered puppy that is for sure not going to have any problems, go to AKC.com and look under their recommended Breed Clubs to find reputable and responsible breeders who love and care for these dogs as their own.

YOU WILL SAVE MONEY & HEARTACHE BY PURCHASING FROM AKC BRED LITTERS!!!!!! This means talking to reputable people direct from the AKC who can tell you the truth about Champion Bloodlines and Breeders to go to.

IF YOU TELL ONE OF THE AKC RECOMMENDED BREEDERS THAT YOUR DOG WILL BE A PET THAT IS FIXED AND NOT USED TO BREED OR SHOW THEY WILL OFTEN KNOCK DOWN THE PRICE BY SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS. YOU WILL SAVE IN THE LONG RUN ON HEALTH COSTS AS WELL, AS YOU CAN SEE FROM UNLIMITED STORIES ON THIS PAGE. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT BUY FROM PET STORES!!!
