I answered an ad from Evonne Denney about a Female Adult Sphynx with breeding rights and full CFA registration. We exchanged quite a few emails over the course of about a week and spoke on the phone a couple of times, she seemed like a very nice, honest lady.. I have since found out that she is NOT. I received the Sphynx cat on February 22nd via Alaskan Airlines. After Evonne had her husband Gary drop the cat off at the airport she THEN sends me an email stating that the cat wasnt actually hairless, and that she was keeping her in an unheated (during winter months) kennel so she grew a fur coat!! Sphynx cats do not and are NOT supposed to have a coat, but due to her lack of care she did infact grow fuzz all over her body. She also stated in the email that she didnt send the registration papers along with cleo (the cat) because she was afraid that they could get lost. (not sure how that would happen unless the cat was lost all together its self) That was my first sign of "uh-oh" this doesnt sound right"

Who has an animal on the plane and sends a "oh by the way" email!!!!? Evonne Denney does.

I have since called her repeatedly and left her several messages asking if she has or will send the papers.. her excuses are always, sorry, I thought I sent them but I found them in my purse still .. sorry Ive been so sick... sorry I have 5 kids and they are sick.. sorry I cant answer my phone my throat is sore. She then tells me how insensitive and how uncaring I am to her family, she then tells me how religious she is and how terrible I am for not giving her more time.

Of course I am not going to be NICE at this point.. she is a terrible breeder and I would hope that she will not be able to scam one more person.

I am sure she will have a rebutle about this, as every other complaint on this site has a ~fun~cutesie ~ rebutle.

I will be contacting her local law enforcement and also the ASPCA - hopefully she cant scam one more family.
