I just want to thank the anonymous poster who has posted this very valuable information online.

I have been contacted by the company and am grateful that I did some research prior to agreeing to interview. Needless mention, the attitude of the receptionist made it easy to not bother burning fuel just to make the 15 minute commute.

Speaking of not burning fuel on something futile as this, I would like to add that this company also went by Marketing Endeavors, Dynamic Marketing in addition to the names you have mentioned....and "those" companies have been trying to reach me since my graduating in 1999. I was thinking to myself, where is the whistle blower from Atlanta's Channel 2 Action news when you need him?

Sad that I was about to give this Atlanta Business Consulting the benefit of a doubt until I saw the picture of the building and the address which is the same as the companies I have mentioned to you in addition to the ones you have.

Thank goodness for the internet and the intricate use of boolean statements to find this information! Thank you for taking time out to post and giving me the affirmation I needed!

After reading the original post on this website, I felt the need to write a rebuttal. Atlanta Business Consulting is NOT a scam! I understand that in this economy, companies that ask you to work for commission might seem untrustworthy, but all I'm asking is for you to read my rebuttal and judge for yourself.

The interview process with Atlanta Business Consulting is two-fold: there's a relatively quick first interview, and then a day-long second interview in the field. A lot of people have complained about the length of this second interview, but they do this because they're trying to be up front! They want you to see what a typical day is like in this position, so that you can decide if it's something you would enjoy doing. During the second interview, they TELL YOU these entry-level positions are commission-based. While yes, you have the opportunity to work your way up to salary positions in the company, it's made extremely clear that this position is 100% commission based. The idea of working for commission isn't that far-fetched. Think cosmetic sales like Mary Kay, Avon, and Mark; even Aflac Insurance sales are 100% commission based. Many other groups around Atlanta start their road reps off with just commission-based sales to prove themselves. It's a great way to learn the skills you need to succeed in sales in any kind of environment.

At NO POINT are you ever asked to pay them anything. You don't pay for training. You don't pay for classes. Atlanta Business Consulting actually pays you during your training while you learn. They want your to do well.

As with most outside sales jobs, you are managing your own territory. Some people have commented about the company not reimbursing mileage/gas, but there's a reason for that: if you record your mileage, keep your gas receipts, and log the work done on your vehicle, when you file your taxes you can claim all of that.

A commission-based career isn't for everyone. It's hard work, but the benefits are worth it. Just because a job is commission based, doesn't mean that it's a scam. You get to meet new people every day, go on interesting business trips, and work in a fun, interesting environment. But the truth is, you have a great support group in that office, full of people who want you to succeed and who are there motivating you and helping you every step of the way.

Xtreme Promotions and Fire, Inc. are, in fact different offices that DO share office space. Atlanta Business Consulting is in the main office, which is why she/he didn't see anything for Fire, Inc.

I completely agree with the original report on Atlanta Business Consulting!!! I am technically not an "ex-employee" because I ran for the hills after the first day of "training". Before the interview, I researched their address and found them here on ripoffreport.com, but under the same name. My husband said to just give them a call and see. I called and asked specifically if this job was commission based and the receptionist said no! it is salary and commission. So I went to the interview. I ride public transit, so the commute was about 2 hours there and back. I spent 2 hours to get there, just to have a 15 minute interview. the second day interview is literally a day of work that you do not get paid for!!!! You walk around in the "field", from door to door, selling AT&T U-verse. You are out all day with no public restrooms, hiding from the leasing office of the apartments because they do not want us soliciting there, in the heat, getting severely attacked by bugs! It is horrible!!! You also have to rely on co-workers to get you to and from your "territory" if you do not have your own vehicle. The co-worker simply drops you off into a neighborhood for hours ALONE and you call them for them to pick you up. Most of the time I was out in a territory that did not have any phone service, so I would have been screwed if I was out there alone. Especially because most of the people in the neighborhood didnt have house phones and their cells didn't have service either! They tell you that while you are training that you receive pay of 300/week plus commission. What they do not tell you is that they expect you to only train for one week and that the commission you are making is not yours, it is your trainers money until you go "solo". They also do not tell you that you will not get you first check for 3 weeks and it will only be 300 bucks with no commission Despite the fact that you are working 8 hours a day, 6 days a weeks. It does not equal out. I will be a fool to be out of my home from 8-11pm everyday working for $100/week! U do the math!!!!!!!!!

I have been approached two times by this "company", and both times I have CALLED AT&T to verify because of the different names they have given me.  Neither Atlanta Business Consulting, nor ABC Inc is an authorized 3rd party contracted agency.  The phone number for this business, when reverse searched through www.anywho.com/rl, comes to a PERSONAL phone number.  Same address on Spring St too.  Their website is the most generic, sloppily put together site I have ever laid eyes on.  This is just a mere multi-level marketing company alleging that they are more than that.  I have been in LEGITIMATE sales for the last 10 years working for a dental imaging company and laughed when I saw this.  I spoke with a woman named Rebecca for a phone interview (she called me out of the blue with out permission), but when I called back to ask for her, no such person was there, I could here children in the background screaming and a tv.  Umm, NO!  I will keep myself in a respectable field of sales, that would be actual professional sales by the by.  Even when I first started in sales, I knew that any reputable company pays their sales reps a salary AND commission.  Most even pay half of their sales reps health benefits, invest in stocks if publicly traded for them, and offer PTO/UPTO.  This company does not.  I had a friend that has been sucked in to a business like this with the promise that she would be making $100k or more in the first year.  NOPE!  She didn't even come close to $15k, and not for lack of hard work and trying either.  She now works with me and is running close to me with being one of the top reps in the company.  We are the only 2 female reps this company has too.  If it sounds too good to be true, it is.  Sad, but true.  Don't waste your time and report them to any job board they get your resume from for predatory solicitation of false employment, which is punishable as a crime in most states.

 I received an email from this company and contacted them regarding the position.  I was advised they are not the company everyone one is indicating they are.  The girl was very nice, however, her email all of a sudden stopped working.  I called them several times and still did not receive the email.  I was provided the address for their office in Dunwoody.  I questioned the ripoff web site and was informed they are aware of the complaints, however, they were constructed by an ex-employee.  Maybe since they are aware of my knowledge of this so called scam it will be different for me.  If they hint at any of the things I've read, I'll be the first to run and and report them further.  We'll see what's up....I really hope in this economy they are not wasting peoples time and money on scams as indicsted in this report.  I'll update upon completion of my interview in a couple of days!
