In November of 2003, I was approached by a young man outside of my apartment. First, he made small talk, aparently trying to find out informacion about the area. He then explained to me that he was selling magazines. I politely told him that I was not a financial situation that allowed me to make such unnecessary purposes.

He then asked if he could sit with me to relax as he had been working all day. Throughout the conversation, he continued mentioning a contest that he and his group members were competing in to see who could sell the most.

Later in the conversation, he explained to me that if I subscribed to a magazine, it would not be charged to my account if I filled out the cancellation forms within three days. Then he was almost begging me to order a magazine so that he could win whatever prize or money was being offered.

After I conceeded and ordered the first magazine, he talked me into ordering another so that he could beat some other guy in their group that was only 1 order ahead of him in the contest. After I subscribed, I immediately took my filled out cancellation forms to the mail so that they would be processed as soon as possible.

A short time later, I noticed that my bank account had been charged a fee for insufficient funds because one or both of the orders that I had initially cancelled had tried to clear my checking account. I attempted to find the informacion regarding the company, however until the checks cleared, I was unable to as i had filled in the checks to simply "FRS."

Not only am I disturbed that I was lied to and taken advantage of, but also that I have been charged unnecessary fees because of those lies. I am NOT in a financial position to experience such charges and am extremely upset that I have been used in this way. I would not only like recompensation for the costs of the magazines, but also recompensated for the bank fees which incurred because of this incident.

I will be filing a report on www.ripoffreport.com, calling Florida's Attorney General's Office (Consumer Fraud Division to file a complaint)and the National Field Selling Association to inform them of the awful service and treatment that I have received from this company.
