Integrity PGM Scammed by so-called drama students going to London to work with John Cleese. Glendale Arizona

I have to be the most distrusting person of anyone that comes to my door. We are very isolated, so this isn't very often. I think that's why I am trying to get the warning out about these kids. They also said they lived near me, but that could be within 10 miles out here. They had a great story about working their way to London to work with John Cleese for their drama class workshop.

They asked to come in and use my table to write up their order and jabbered all the time about what they were planning to see in London. The girl talked non-stop and the boy was quiet. I wrote the checks to each of them, feeling very uncomfortable about the whole situation. The amount for 4 books was just another flag that this isn't right.

I knew they were lying, having been a former teacher, but I was alone and wasn't going to debate the issue. The boy asked for a glass of water to go, and kept commenting on my appearance. It wasn't flattering, it was creepy. Immediately after they left, I researched some of their story on the internet and of course it was bogus.

I finally found the "Ripoff" site and read just about the same story that I just experienced. I stopped payment on the checks through my bank, and will close that account with the advice of my personal banker. I've really never been this disturbed about strangers coming to my door. They seemed to resent my home and pictures of my children on the refrigerator. One victim's story said these kids usually have a criminal record and were all looking to get out of a bad situation. I would have gladly helped them escape this way of life with a donation, not a scam,
