The exact same magazine scam happened to me, but sicker. I told the ever persuasive young gentlemen that came to my door that I didn't need any magazines for myself. I told them NO 3 or 4 times. Then he said "buy a subscription and send it to a Children's Hospital for the sick kids to read". I thought "well, I could do that" imagining the excitement on the sick and sad children's faces as they read their new Disney magazine.

Of course only after they left I decided to check up on the company only sickened to read everyone's rip off reports. They used the exact same story on me that they were earning money for college and a trip. I feel disgusted and violated. After reading these reports (this just happened to me yesterday!), I have stopped payment on my check. I don't care if it cost me twice as much to cancel the check as the check was worth, at least these scumbags don't get my money. They thought they had the last laugh. They don't get my money AND they are horrible people. What goes around comes around, they'll get their judgement in the end. What losers, get a real job!!!!!

Door-to-Door Magazine Rip Off

Back in March a young lady claiming to be a local high school student named Amanda Albright came to my door selling magazine subscriptions. She claimed they were raising money for a school trip. I ordered a subscription to "Shotgun News" and wrote her a check for the subscription. I haven't seen a copy in my mailbox since writing the check. I still have a copy of the receipt and have had no luck contacting Palmetto Marketing, Inc. They gave me a phone number and a website to contact them. The phone number is to a Bell Atlantic mailbox messaging system 954-341-8135 and the website is www.nfsa.com and they are an outfit out of Philadelphia. The address on my receipt is 7522 Wiles Rd. Ste 112, Coral Springs, FL. I did a search on the internet and the address is a location for a 25 businesses including Palmetto Marketing.

I am the person you are refering to, Rusty. I am very sorry that you did not recieve anything but I was only a sales person trying to make money. As far as i was concerned, the information I gave you at the time was correct. Little did i know that this companys info wasnt correct. I dont work for these people anymore and I never will again. Not to say that all my expierance was bad. i had some great times and I dont really know if this company is a scam. Because during my time as a "Mag Agent", I came across people that had bought a mag the previous year and were more than happy to re-subcribe for more years. But why get bent out of shape for a measley 30 bucks... In case you didnt notice money isnt everything. I really should be telling this to the people for whom i busted my butt for to make this money... to be honest with you I didnt even make but a tiny profit of your 3o something bucks.. You want to blame someone.. blame those money hungrey mangers that brainwash people into believeing that your only as good as what you had on the day.
