I entered a free drawing at Home Depot. I didn't win but received phone call from Rainbow offering free prize for demo on product. Wife and I watched the vacuum demo and received a certificate for free movie(8 people) and pizza (2 large) up to $100. 

We submitted the required receipts on 2/15/09 and kept photo copies. 

We phoned after 6 weeks leaving message on answering machine. We were promised a response in writing in 21 days by a recorded voice. We also requested rebate status via website www.pizzamovierebate.com numerous times yet still no response.

Rebate Response

This is in response to this Consumers complaint about their rebate.

Our company processes over 30,000 Rebates a year that is distributed by many Sales organizations in the US & Canada.  The Pizza & Movie Rebate is handed to the Consumer as a Gift with no purchase required, just their time for viewing a product demonstration.

Due to volume, our systems have been automated by phone & Internet to respond only when information is matched in our database.  If all inquires where to be answer by operators, this program would not be cost effective since it is not tied to any sale of a product.

As in all Rebates, there are Terms & Conditions to be met.  If a response was not received then the Terms & Conditions were not met, therefore, a Rebate was not issued.

This automated system is in place to be fair to all Consumers who comply.  We find that those who do not follow the terms are the ones who complain the most.

The Internet site is connected to our Rebate proccessing company to respond to those who match in our database.  Go to www.pizzamovierebate.com for a search.

Our Company has been in business over 10 years and has an A rating by the Better Business Bureau.

My complaint still stands!

I have photo copies as proof that the Terms & Conditions were precisely met and submitted on time. 

As a pastor, I've always sought to be a peacemaker. If you can show me how my refund failed, I will withdraw my complaint and humbly apologize. 

I'm counting on your A- rating to make things right with this customer. I left a phone message for Robert Brooks today (1/19) and expect to hear from you.
