Sunshine Subcription Agency False information provided to sell magazine subscriptions Coral Springs Florida

I was expecting company on the 20th June 2007 when I heard a knock at the door.

There was a young gentleman by the name of J. Cochran who was saying he was working on his talking skills.
He said that he was selling magazine subscriptions that would go to charity organisations for Children with cancer.

I selected a total of 3 subscriptions which came to a total of $140.00. It was pricey but I was willing to do it for a real charity. He asked if I had cash as he gets more points for this but I refused and said I only have checks, he accepted this.

I wrote out a total of 3 checks and saw him out. When my company arrived and saw the receipts they said they think its a scam. I looked on google and found these reports as well as ones filed to the BBB.

I immediately contacted my bank and put "stop payments" on all 3 checks, I also posted off the cancelation receipt to the company and faxed them copies telling them that I am exersizing my right to cancel this with in 3 business days with no penalty or obligation and that I have also reported them to the BBB and my sherrifs department for false information.

I also told them to immediatly put me on their "do not contact" list and any further contact in sales would lead to legal action.

Has anyone who has put "stop payments" on checks for this company had issues with debt collectors there after sent by the company?

Any further information anyone has would be great
