Universal Subscription Agency Palmetto Marketing ripoff magazine subscription Las Vegas Nevada

All of a sudden I hear my doorbell ring at my apartment. There's a college-looking guy standing at my door saying how he's trying to win a trip to Cancun by selling magazine subscriptions. He also told me he lives in the first floor.

love magazines so I was like sure why not I'll check it out. He starts telling me how he needs somebody to join him on the trip and it's not until Spring Break of next door and wants to know if I want to go with him. I said "no I'm fine." He starts talking to me about how he wants to call me for a date and what not but I don't believe him. I choose the magazines I want then he gives me the total. I got a Rolling Stones magazine subscription for 110.00 and a Spin magazine subscription for 46.00 and I get a third one free.

I was a bit surprised but wasn't sure how much the subscriptions really were. He starts asking me for cash and I told him all I had was checks. Then he starts asking me for a hug and a kiss and I'm kinda freaked out. It was so weird. I was scared to not write the checks out. I wasn't sure what he would do if I told him I didn't want them. I'm not sure what to do. On the back it says that I have 3 days to cancel from the date of order. I wonder if I will still have to pay the returned check fee. I hope not.

As soon as that guy left I was talking to a friend and he told me he only pays like 12.00 for a year subscription to Rolling Stones. I was shocked!! I then searched on google and found this place. I wish I would have found it sooner. I'm getting everything ready right now to send to the post office and mail this receipt out tonight. I really wish I would have found this place sooner. I also called my apartment complex to see if soliciting is against apartment rules and if maybe they can go to his apartment. I have yet to receive a call from my courtesy officer. I will keep this updated.
