Most of the stuff I have recieved is junk. But being a buyer junkie and what with xmas just passed, bought a lot of trnkets for my little ones (kids, nieces etc). Thought i had bought a really nice Bvlgari watch finally, but it disappeared and no notice followed of an outbid. Won a decent looking watch and the parameters changed. The on-line chat helper claimed it was a "GIFT" category (again)and that international shipping was not avaiable (I can still access the shiping page which details the prices overseas).

The site changes up according to how much you pay. The watch was a $10 win and I won it after hours when the shipping is free. Presto! whoosh! its either gone, or you are locked out from paying for it (Paypal and other CC alternatives). YOu would think that a site that rakes in millions would be able to distinguish my member name and address and bar me from bidding if it was bona fide.

However, if you pay enough, you can get it, but don't waste your time, most of it is junk (my daughters real gold chain was microscopically thin and I had to buy her one locally to suit the heavy pendant (Jade? seemed more like plastic)it came with. Thick skinned, I have bought several items but now after being burnt so many times, I quit, and hope this helps others by forewarning and forearming them with factual information. Buyer Beware. IT IS THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO EDUCATE THEMSELVES ON BIDZ.COM AND WHAT THEY ARE SIGNING UP FOR, IT HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE THAT WHENEVER WE HAVE RECIEVED A COMPLAINT IT IS USUALLY LINKED TO THE CUSTOMER BEING UNINFORMED. THERE ARE FULL DESCRIPTIONS OF EACH ITEM THAT IS UP FOR AUCTION , THIS IS WERE THE CUSTOMER COMES IN , I PERSONALLY INFORM CUSTOMERS ONCE I AM SPEAKING TO THEM TO EDUCATED THEMSELVES ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS , SHIPPING POLICYS, ITEMS LENGTH, ITEMS QUALITY AND GEMSTONE DESCRIPTION . IF THE CUSTOMER SEES AN ITEM AND JUST CHOOSES TO BID ON THE ITEM WITHOUT VERIFYING WHAT IT IS THAT THEY ARE PURCHASING COMPLAINTS CAN HELP BUT COME.

Stop yelling

Bidzmonkey, please stop yelling. I and others, have explained to you several times in other posts that typing in all capital letters is considered yelling on the internet.

As for your post. It is IMPOSSIBLE to verify the authenticity of a jewelry item or the item's description from a picture on a website. Telling a customer this is a requirement for them is ludicrous.

Your company, if you are representative of the norm, has a lot to learn about customer service. Like many "dotcom" companies that experienced rapid growth and huge incomes a few years back, at the rate you are disenfranchising customers you may see the bubble burst soon. Your company doesn't seem to understand the concept of "word of mouth" advertising (or word of internet in this case). Each unhappy customer that posts here, or elsewhere (there are a myriad of complaints on the internet regarding yoru company) offers a viewpoint to thousands. ROR complaints are often listed in the top ten when a search is done on a company on search engines. BAD PUBLICITY will destroy a company.

When you have a whole host of stupid policies, you are also undermining your customers. Customers get sick of being treated like criminals and/or idiots. You want to trust your customers as well. Chances are, they don't want to rip you off and your policy could be stopping them from having a pleasant experience.

My Gold rusted

My gold rusted... and I'm no jewelry expert, but I know no real gold should rust. I'm still waiting for my return shipping cost reimbursement but at this point im not holding my breath.
