David it is obvious that those fake emails are from scammers impersonating eSources. It's like saying PayPal and eBay send out emails to their customers to gain access to their account.
eSources is today probably the largest directory of verified wholesale and dropship contacts on the web (45,000 and counting!). We have a premium members subscription base of over 148,000 and total current members over 520,000. These numbers are striking to even the kindest competitor, therefore don't be surprised if some of the online reports were published just to undervalue our image. Of course some reports about customers issues may be genuine, however I can assure you we do take on board every issue, we offer 24/7 email support (we don't currently offer phone support), and we do try to resolve matters as quickly as possible. We have been in business for over 5 years now and certainly that list you have published refers to complaints over the 5 years period, which we think it's quite good given the number of customers we have helped over the years (again over 148,000 and counting).
It is clear by now that you are here trying to get some free publicity for your site, and I am sure you have already received a fair bit. The reasons people run those scam searches are two:
1. It is broadly recommended in our industry to search a company name + scam to check any complaints posted on the net about that company. Many buyers do this with every company before dealing with them, and you should be doing the same if you aren't doing so yet.
2. Specifically to eSources, some of those searches are run because of this false report you have posted and because of the false information you have published on your blog.
I presume the traffic percentages you posted above are based on your total site traffic (5%, 1% etc), they are high because your site's total traffic is very low and you are trying to gather traffic by falsly bashing other companies: safelysourcingchina is Alexa site number 4,769,344 (very low) and your average site visitor stays on your site for 0.6 minutes (that's just 36 seconds), then leaves. This indicates that visitors aren't that impressed with what you have published and then leave (please note this is not my opinion, it's a conclusion based on the data supplied by Alexa). Based on the percentages you have posted, your false reports about eSources are bringing you substantial traffic.
In contrast eSources is site number 21,910 in the world and our visitors stay on our site for an average of 4 minutes. That includes buyers who come to eSources to quickly source an item and then continue dealing with the wholesaler or dropshipper directly.
Our take is that you offer a sourcing service and you find eSources a strong competitor and therefore worth appearing in our discussion threads to increase traffic to your site. We are of course flattered by your considerations but are certain that your approach is counter productive. Also we feel that your approach is an indication of your business ethics, and for this reason and in our opinion only we would discourage buyers from initiating trade with you. This is only our opinion, albeit based on years of experience.
