Georgia Power rip off !!!! stealing consumers money! athens, Georgia

Original Report: My bill went from 150$ to 240$ to 350$




My Bill is jjust over 80 dollars higher than last years and the previous month, ever since they have installed those new style meters my bill is very VERY erratic! , this last bill, we were gone over a week of that billing period , my heating A/c system is fully charged and working correctly, I had it checked and serviced, I have kept my heater down 2 degrees over last year and have installed more if the compact florescent bulbs this year(my house is over 70% CF bulbs, which the wattage on is very low, and we have them in all the areas we use,  we only use two of the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms in this house anyhow, I have even installed them on the outside floods which are very seldom turned on

, my front porch light is now a 11 wt CF,   Noithing I do brings my KW hours down, NOTHING it increases at random, and it is not something worng with the homes electronics

I feel Georgia Power is ripping off their consumer

How long of a time was this increase over? 

Also, what does your bill say? 

Is the increase because you used more electricity or because the rate went up?
