Warner Electric (possibly Werner Electric) John White (electrician) most likely false name operating scam/social engineering attack Grand Rapids, Michigan

I am the IT Director of a long-term care medical facility in Grand Rapids, MI.  The past four days we have been contacted by an organization claiming to be "Warner Electric" (possibly Werner Electric).  The contact demanded each time to speak with our maintenance director and was exceptionally unprofessional and rude.  On day four, I spoke directly with the individual (claiming to be John White) and demanded to speak to his supervisor.  The supervisor sounded remarkably similar to the initial contact.  The supervisor claimed to be sub-contracted by the city to do some required electrical work in and around our building.  I said that if his staff was not impressively rude and unprofessional, they would have easily been able to speak with our maintenance director by now, however due to the current circumstances I am very suspicious of your organization.  The supervisor responded by saying "Well he's not in customer service or anything, he's just an a--h--- electrician." and hung up on me.

I believe this to be a social engineering attack.  I do not know what they are after but after finding some other internet references, I am sure the organizations is not legitimate and that anybody contacted by this organization or experiencing similar calls should be on the alert for fraud.
