I ordered a Haier compact refrigerator through Amazon, when I received it and plugged it in, there was a small explosion from the back and the refrigerator would not work. I called the Haier customer service number, as instructed by Haier, they actually handled the situation very professionally, did not try to blame me for the event, said they would be sending me out tags for sending the refrigerator back. When I got the tags, I was told to call Haier customer service to arrange the FedEx pickup after I had the box ready to ship back, which I did. I called on a Friday and was told FedEx would be here on Monday.

When FedEx did not show up either Monday or Tuesday, I called back and they said something about the paperwork still being there, and they'd get someone there the next day. It is now Monday, and of course FedEx has never showed up. I gave up on Haier, called Amazon directly and they're taking care of the whole thing, but I'm praying I don't have to deal with their customer service again. Other than the first call, I got the sense that their customer service people are not helpful or happy to be doing the job they're doing.
