I recently purchased an LG mobile phone model C1500, which states in the customer user guide that a headphone is included in the package--NOT AN OPTIONAL ITEM--but INCLUDED. After contacting Winona, a CSR supervisor, I was told that the phone has not been made for 3 years and that no headphones are available for this model, which is a lie because LG part # SGEY0000301 will fit my phone--but I was given a lame excuse that the maker of that product is a 3rd party company and not part of LG, so, instead of the CSR supervisor authorizing the 3rd party company to ship the headphones to me at no charge and arranging payment through LG, I was told I would have to purchase them myself. I even faxed to her a copy of the page in my LG user guide that states the headphones should be included. No matter how long ago the phone was made, the fact that it is available for sale today and comes with a detailed account of what is included, provided by LG, I feel that LG should supply the proper parts listed. Then she tried to shift blame to the service provider and the retail store it was purchased in--Sears. For whatever this item is worth at cost, maybe $5.00, LG has lost a customer for life and anyone else that I come in contact with, I will be sure to steer them away from any LG product because of this disgraceful treatment. That includes appliances, LCD TV's, etc. Hope all the future lost sales that I am responsible for is worth the $5.00 item LG refused to provide me with. You people have reached a new low in (lack of) customer

is you purchased a brand new, not refurbished, never used, 3-4 year old phone in Feb 2010? Original release date of this model of phone January 2006...
Where did you happen to purchase this device brand new, 3-4 years after LG had stopped manufacturing it?
If you purchase something refurbished or used, you are not entitled to what the owner manual says and as for an LG part specifically fitting your "new" phone... yes of course a 3.5mm headphone will fit in a 2.5mm headphone jack, its not beyond the realm of possibility that that could happen.
Also I don't see where in the manual this "included" headset is mentioned... also on the datasheet for the phone, found on LG.com, states that the device is only packaged with the phone, battery and travel charger... no mention of this "included" headset...
