LG touted this great Blu Ray player with streaming Netflix, and product could be upgraded.  Item was discontinued almost immediately and the one and only update disabled the players ability to be used for regular DVD's.  Making this Blu Ray Player even more useless.  LG doesn't want to provide any assistance for this without paying for service charge to undo the update.

For a $300 player, it should be of use for more than a year and should have updates that make it better.  LG does not care for the customer or the quality of the product.  They feel you should just buy the newer product with no credit for what was already purchased.
