Douglas Converse is a GREAT actor as he will proclaim, he is also a magician, boxer, and can read your mind. What a great oppertuinity for him to take advantage of a 23 year old looking for work. Meet Douglas through craigslist and you will learn your lesson. Help him make 1 million dollars this year! And you will be left with nothing! Become his friend and your time and efforts will be thrown out the window. Think for yourself and all deals are off. This man is a manipulator working in the great industry of real estate taking advantage of young women..some i would consider girls, leading people on so that he can make his millions, talk you out of a contract for secure work and payment and utterly lie to your face that it even happened. This man has taken up a month and a half of my life, initially hiring me to be a photographer i ended up doing all his work for him as his "assistant", which included doing all the things he did not have time for, finishing BPO's(drive by appraisals), and keeping track of all the assignments we got. I asked him to sign a contract under my terms to gaurantee fair compensation for the job i was doing, he manipulatively turned this around on me by saying, "i am dissapointed that you would even ask such a thing." And of course that made ME feel i was doing something wrong! And boy am i paying for it. After working 14 hour days 7 days a week for what he called a "chance of a lifetime", for the past month and a half, i gave up my social life, and gave him my blood sweat and tears. He promised me my real estate lisence and to become a partner in the company he was starting. He currently OWES ME $1,190 for the work that has been completed under our verbal agreement and that doesnt even include all the time i spent trying to organize and complete the tasks assigned as his "assistant". I have talked to him several times about the manner and his reply is "your work was not good enough" which is untrue considering i learned his job he has been doing for a year in 1 week. In fact i was doing better work because i am detail oriented unlike himself. He has big dreams that he is very good at making you think they are yours! BEWARE OF JOB POSTS ON CRAIGSLIST, THESE ARE HIM LOOKING FOR A PHOTOGRPAHER, HE DOES NOT PROVIDE FAIR COMPENSATION AND DOES NOT GAURANTEE OR PROMISE ANY THING FOR YOUR WORK! SIGN A CONTRACT IF YOU DARE WORK WITH THIS DECIETFUL MAN!

get a copy of the ad and proof that the photos were taken and...

AUTHOR: Joe - Austin (U.S.A.)

report him to the state labor board or go directly to your federal building and go directly to the federal wage and hour office and turn him in there.

you might want to turn him over to the payday law enforcement peopel at your state employment agency.

Douglas Converse is a person of impeccable integrity!

AUTHOR: Danny Baker - Woodlake (U.S.A.)

I have known Mr. Douglas Converse for several years now and I am proud to call him my friend. I speak to him almost daily regarding real estate matters and just to brainstorm ideas. I am shocked by what this lady has written about my friend. I know that he would NEVER take advantage of anybody and I have known him to be a VERY giving person who truly wants to help & assist people every way he can. Douglas has GREATLY assisted me in many ways but mostly by just being a positive person who I know is always there to give me an encouraging word or a great business idea! Douglas IS the real deal...A VERY talented real estate professional who I trust completely.

Craigslist Job Posters Beware of Job Seeker Sara Jorgensen

AUTHOR: Dare2xl - Chula Vista (U.S.A.)

Sara is very nice upfront, personable and intelligent. However do not let this fool you. She agrees to terms and conditions of employment. Then in the middle of doing the work she agreed upon to do she stops working, and demands that you pay her owner and entrepreneur money. (Sounds like she has been talking to a sports agent and now feels she should own the team.)
Um let me see. You agreed to terms which included a confidentiality agreement (reneged on that), you agreed to fair pay (now you don't want that) you agreed to stick around so that you got a real estate license but you walked off the job and demanded more pay or you wouldn't come back (and you still expect the real estate license) Your employer got you a new laptop and PDA and nice office. It wasn't good enough.
Sara obviously has a lot of growing up to do. Most employers do not have the time of day to babysit and coddle the employees when they feel they aren't getting thier way and won't act like a mature adult.

Doug is very professional and genuine in all his work and due diligence. If there was a problem he would have rectified it right away. It is self evident that this is anemployee who reneged across the board in all her promises in her employment with Doug. At his point she should be grateful that Doug has not sued her for violating her confidentiality agreement. However that may change.

He owes other people money, too

AUTHOR: Old "friend" of Douglas'' - Seattle (United States of America)

He borrows money and doesn't pay it back, or tries to "pay" by offering some worthless product or service. Hey, Douglas? You must remember at least a couple of people that you owe money to, and how much. Grow a pair, pick up the phone and call to make it right. The phone number's the same as it always was, and e-mail address hasn't changed either. If you do make it right, I'll update this site and confirm that you did. And maybe you'll sleep better at night.

PS: that picture in your biznik profile is even creepier than you are

First employee outlook

AUTHOR: Nicosan Rio - Seattle (United States of America)

I met Douglas last fall through craigslist, his ad reading "Business owner looking for help."

We met up a few times, and he explained his business plan to me which was still in the works at the time. I was the first person he hired for this business. I started working within a few days taking photographs, uploading, and filling out forms.

The work was very simple, I knew before hand what my job entitled. I knew that eventually I would work up the ladder as I learned more and got a license, and Douglas has always been patient to teach me what he knows.
He paid me every week to two weeks, and it was always fair pay.

Douglas has big dreams in manifestation, some just do not fully realize or are able to handle the potential that he and his business have.

Apologies..Douglas Converse is a good business man

AUTHOR: Anonymous - snohomish (U.S.A.)

I wrote this in anger and I shouldn't have. Douglas treated me fairly and it was my decision to work as much as i did. I learned a lot from the experience that I still take with me today. He paid me weekly and the only reason it didnt work out was because we had two different ideas of the big picture and what we needed at the moment. Douglas was a good friend despite the business aspect of things. I am sincerely sorry that things had to work out the way they did but we both learned something from the experience. I also learned not to write stupid things when angry. Sorry Douglas if I caused you any harm. We all make mistakes and I definitely learned from mine. I know Douglas will go far with his dreams and it will all work out for him in the end.

Douglas Convers owes me money also

AUTHOR: Scott - Seabeck (United States of America)

I bought a home that Douglas was the Agent on. All bills were to be paid by Douglas the agent  and he has been putting it off for over 9 months. I believe he has a problem and needs the money for his problem. You can decide for yourself if you deal with him. I suggest you run away from any business dealing with Douglas Convers. If he was a real professional he would not leave honest hard working people with his bills.
