This is the E-mail i recieved I was not looking for information on their company. I (was) although looking for work on sites like career builder so how did they get my address? I only use that particular address for job searching. Again if they are a ligitimate company why are they useing spam mail to attract people to their business? the scary part is if he did get my address through a place like career builder he has a lot more info then just my e-mail address.

Just a clarification....

SPAM is unsolicited e-mail without the senders contact information.

It appears that you (by your own admission) were looking for employment or an income stream and supplied your info to some outside company. The team member in Agel (he is NOT an employee -- the titles here are limited) simply sent you some info based on your inquiry.

The company (Agel™ Enterprises, LLC) did not send you anything. If at all, blame the individual who is affiliated with Agel. And even then, by this gentleman supplying his name and contact info, you have a means and method of letting him know that you are not interested in the opportunity and request that he not send you additional info.

Further, you might want to check this source from which you claim he acquired your contact info. IF he bought a lead (I do not know how he acquired your info), then they (that company) are the one's who sold your info. You'd be more accurate and proper to write this report against THEM instead!! I'm sure that your e-mail and other contact info that you supplied to said company is not accessible by the general public.

Afterwards, an apology would be nice. :-)

Spam is unsolicitaed email-plain and simple. Especially when it is sent under the guise that they somehow have talked to or had actual contact with someone to which-in all reality-they have not. Much like the subject line of the spam she posted here. "Subject : Plan B we had previously Spoken About" < Nothing was spoken about as indicated by the OP so how can you say it was?

Also, this person has represented themselves as an agent for said spamming company thus making the company responsible for the associates actions.

Certainly no need for apologies here. Grow up and take it like a man that your tactic didn't work and people are tired of dealing with crap like yours.

Yes, it is spam, but the company does not aprove sending unrequested email, or encourage any of it's distributors to do it. In my opinion, the person who wrote the email made a mistake, but i wouldn't blame the company for it. As far as my researh could find, Agel is a legitimate company.

I did not send the "spam" is the author stated. That wasn't me.

I simply made an inquiry as to the source of how the Agel representative acquired the young lady's name and contact info.

If she gave it to an employment company and they sold it, then she needs to address the company.

On the flip-side, the Agel rep. may have allowed too much time to pass after receiving this person's business card or a networking event before contacting her. I don't know the situation. It was not explained as to how the contact info was acquired.

No I am not supportive of people sending spam. If a person send spam from a legit company, that company's legitamacy still stands. I must then look at the representative.

But my initial suggestions were not considered, so I can only speak to the information given.

Agel Does Not Send Unsolicited Email

The only time you receive an email from Agel Enterprises is when you personally sign up with the company. This email you received was from an independent distributor of Agel. These people do not represent the company, but their own business. He probably got your information off of a lead site, which means some company sold your email address to that lead site.
