I am not sure why you are reporting this as a rip-off?
Apart from the bad English, the site seems to have a detailed breakdown of the number of jobs in each country, and some of the companies are well known enough for any one to verify.
Yes in tough economic times there are more job-seekers than jobs, hence a large portion of the people registering with Bayt may not find a job, but the author's alternative suggestion seems to be that the site shut should be shut down just because he or she has not landed a job - so no one else should either.
It is a well know fact that about 10% of jobseekers successfully find a job through online search, in that context I find the author's singling ut of Bayt.com a regional entity in bad taste. By that parameter monster and 1000's of other jobsite are guilty of the same crime.
Should we shut them all down?
About "paying through your noses for a CV" I believe that the author is refering to their paid Cv writing service, but it is clearly mentioned on the site that the service is strictly optional and does not guarantee a job, so what is the issue?
And yes I had got one of my jobs through bayt.com though I have not got any offers through them recently, but I dont hold that against them.
