EXPEDITE SOLUTIONS IS AT IT AGAIN! The liars finally sent us a 1099! They reported to the IRS that we made 53,928.08 from Jan 1 until May. What liars, I have all of the payment sheets from them. We made 19,408.75! I heard from others they did this to teams that quit, but to over-report by 30,000.00! So they are scamming and cheating the IRS as well as the teams! I am going to contact the IRS and ask for an audit!

IRS

AUTHOR: Paula - Paducah (U.S.A.)

I also noticed a big difference on our 1099 from what we made. If my husband and myself each made over 12,000 in less than 3 1/2 mmonths that we were there then I don't believe we would have left. He's trying to say we made 4,000 a month each, but yet we didn't have 2 nickles to rub together on any given day while working for him. I wonder where it all is? That is another part of his scam obviously. I also will be contacting the IRS, and have this looked into. The reason I say it was impossible for us to make that is the fact we were continually broke down. Can't make money if you cant run. Seems alful fishy if you ask me. Wonder what other scams he has going on we dont know about.

8000.00 a month

AUTHOR: Pardel - Bernie (U.S.A.)

Yeah, when we look at it that is about what it averages out to. 4000.00 a month each or 8000 a month togeather? SMOKIN TOMATOES! We were rollin in money and didn't even know it! Guess I must of been asleep during all the spendin we must of been doing! Can ya beleive it? Now why would we quit when we were 'alledgedly' making 8000.00 a month. So for the first 5 months we supposedly made 8000.00 a month. Funny we only made half that in the other 7 months we were driving for someone else! Our 1099 for the other 7 months is 30,000. for both of us. Geez and I even remember the 30,000. Can't for the life of me figure why I can't remember that 8000.00 a month! Couldn't be cause I didn't make it! Or was it because Expedite Solutions was taking it all???????

#3 Consumer Suggestion

I think I can explain this. Employee vs. Independent contractor.

AUTHOR: Steve - Bradenton (U.S.A.)

If you recieved a 1099, you were treated as an independent contractor. This means according to the law, you were NOT an employee, you were self employed.

This means that your 1099 will reflect the total amount of revenue you generated, not your personal income or take home pay. You will now have to do 1 of 2 things.

1. Accept the 1099, and itemize your taxes with a tax accountant.
2. Dispute the 1099, do an IRS form SS-3 determination of worker status, to get a legal determination of whether you were an employee or an independent contractor. This takes some time.

So, either way, you will have to pay the taxes on the reported income by April 15th, then do an amended return when you get the determination back from the SS-3 request.

This is a common scam, IF you allow it! I have been harping on this for a long time, as it has happened to me in the past. I am now wise to this scam and want to warn and help others.

These companies like the luxury of treating you like an employee and having the control, but like the cost savings of calling you an independent contractor and not having to match your SS, or pay workmans comp or unemployment insurance, etc.

Just because someone calls you an independent contractor, does not make you one! Regardless of any agreement you may have signed. It's not worth the paper its written on if any part of it violates the law.

Good luck!!

We were also wondering where is the money we supposedly made from expedite solutions

AUTHOR: Broke Team Driver - Fenton (U.S.A.)

We got our 1099's back from Expedite Solutions, same with everyone else here we did not make that much money in the 8 months we were with them. I dont know what they are trying to prove here. Discouraged and outraged. Can someone tell us what is going on? Or did we miss the boat somewhere?
