Foxtons is such a ripoff. I worked for them for over a year and the only reason I was there for one year was because I was working towards my brokers license. In order to get that I have to be employed for a year as a licensed sales associate.

Foxtons is a great place if you want to get your brokers license and move on. You see so much illegal and legal activity, so it's a great place to learn what really happens in the competitive real estate market.

Even though agents work for the same company they are pitted against each other like gangs fighting over turf.

Anyway my complaint is that they do not pay their employees for deals that they have put together and managed for months. Instead they fire them so they do not have to pay them. That's a great business model. Hire someone to put deals together and manage them until they are within two weeks of closing and then fire them to keep the entire commission! Then hire more people and repeat! Brilliant!

I wonder how long they are going to get away with it?
