Knight Transportation Improper driver reports filed on DAC, unsubstanitated and derogatory driving comments Lakeland Florida

I worked for this company for over a year. They fired me for a flat tire on the trailer, See they put it on my DAC report, and because they fired me I can no longer find a job driving as most places will not hire a terminated driver.

Now I am screwed I am on unemployment and because of the economy jobs are few and far between. The sad thing is, I was 1 of 10 people that started the reffer side in Dallas Tx, Then they went on a rampage and shit canned 7 of them.

That put me at the top of the list as 1 of the longest drivers for the reffer side. They just signed me up for the deny's they offered like 401k and the like. Then out of the blue I was canned.

I was givin no warning no verbal or any other warning, nothing just canned. Now I can not find a job doing what I love to do. PLEASE BE CAREFUL when you deside to work here, You will get canned for any little thing. And it is getting worse.

As with any report here you can bet they have people reading this and will rebute saying we are wrong, So just watch out.

As the number of rip-off reports increase about this company, it should tell any prospective driver the issues to consider before applying to them. Even drivers with a spotless record will soon find themselves questioning comments inserted onto their DAC report by this company. I found myself out of a job 90 days after being hired because of deceptive hiring practice by their employmennt office ... I was involved in an accident in my personal vehicle while off-duty PRIOR to applying to Knight Transportation. While I was appealing the citation in court, I applied to Knight at the Lakeland, FL Terminal and was very honest about what had happened and where the court stood on the accident. I was charged with Careless operation of a vehicle for making a lane change and hitting another car in front of me that had stopped in the middle of the street after missing a turn. Ok.... I was told by the Lakeland HR dept. not to put the accident down on my application since it did not show-up on their contractor's driving report. My FL DHSMV driving record didn't show it yet, and if it doesn't show then it never happened. I told HR I didn't feel comfortable about it, but was told that if I claimed the accident I wouldn't be hired and the office needed me as a driver NOW. I said fine, and removed it from my application. I resubmitted it and was hired... 90 days later I had a review by the local office and found I met all my minimums and was given a raise. 10 days later I get a call to bring my truck in to the yard because I was being termed due to my driving record. Apparently, the Phoenix safety department "found" my Careless Charge was missing from my application declaration after reviewing my 90 day review, so I was being discharged for falsifying a document ... How do you like that one? A YEAR AND A HALF LATER, I am STILL unemployed even though I had trucking experience prior to Knight. The information was placed on my DAC report and will probably never be removed no matter what rebuttal I pay to have entered. I heard through the grapevine that Knight was more than likely going to be closing their Lakeland, FL terminal.  Does anyone know about this?

No, not by just reading your report here!  I "heard" that they were closing the Lakeland terminal.  Being you were posting about that particular terminal I thought you may have better knowledge of their situation down there.

Sorry ... apologize for any misunderstanding ... Don't know about their current status? I was gone by 4/20/09.  I wouldn't doubt if it's closing?  They had problems keeping people back then; dispatchers, office personnel and drivers if that tells you anything. BTW: I should be driving again by the end of January for a better trucking company.  Keep it between the lines ... Road Hog.
