My friend and I are college students, so needless to say we are in need of a job. My
friend received a letter from the Maxwell Scott Ent. Saying
that it would send us letters, envelopes and labels to stuff for them paying 10
dollars for each letter we stuffed. So we jumped at the chance to make money
that we are desperately in need of. The letter mentioned multiple levels of opportunities,
staring from making $450 a week to $5000 a week. So we sent off the
registration letter and fee of $180, eagerly awaiting the package that
would change our lives. Looking back it is obvious it was a scam but we had to
try. We decided to apply for the highest level you could start off, 290 letters
a week for $2900 in hope that in four weeks we would be promoted to the $5000
level. It took about four weeks for us to ever get a package. Once we got the
letters we read that the policies of the program we had entered had changed. We
would no longer receive $10 per stuffed envelope but instead we would be paid
for each time a person ordered the service with one of our letters. Sadly, we
stuffed the letters and quickly realized that there would be no way to mail out
all the letters within the given time because of the cost of the postage was
too great.
Reading the letters we were sending we saw that the letters were asking for
workers to help them assemble booklets and they would send you the book covers
the pages and a stapler, and this program would pay $20 for each booklet
assembled AND they would send you a check with the package PAYING IN
ADVANCE. Of course we decided to do this program instead because this way
we could be able to afford the postage and it was cheaper to join this program.
So we sent of the $49 registration fee and an additional $5 to rush our
supplies to us. We sent of the letter Nov
3 2009 and today(11-20-09 )
we received a small package with only three books, a manual, some envelopes,
letters, a few labels, a order sheet to pay them more money AND NO
CHECK!!!!!!! IN the manual it says that we are to send the letters to the
people on the labels and wait till they order the booklets from us. For
supplies we have to pay $10 for each booklet we order and we have to buy a list
of names so we know who to send the letters (that we have to make copies of our
selves) to. We are suppose to buy stamps envelopes, copies, and for names and
in the end make money off of profits. After reading the manual we have decided
to quit.
refuse to be tricked again they will not get another cent
from me. Not mention the fact that we sent in one of our own letters and never received
payment for it. That’s $10 they owe plus we want our money back, from both
programs (a grand total of $224). I want this company exposed and shut down
because they are liars and crooks.
