Same scam as others listed here for American Survey Research;

Envelop and postage from Canada, Letter with NY address, Check for $2,985.50 from company in TX drawn on bank in OH. Letter says to deposit check, spend $200 at WalMart, keep $150 pay, send $2,495.50 by Western Union after call Ms. Dorothy Goldstein at 1-450-675-7510.

So glad I found this site before depositing the check!
