Career Builder.com Company cahrges to access their database, then turns around and directly competes against their own customers Chicago ILLINOIS

Career Builder, a National job board databse company (part of the Gannett company) is an organization that I affiliated with a couple of years ago to utilize in my executive search firm. They charge multiples of thousands of dollars to be able to access their database and post relevant jobs.

Career Builder has another company that is called Right Fish. Right Fish accesses the same data base that I pay thousands for and approches the same clients that I serve for "discounted" searches. So on the one hand Career Builder claims they are providing me with this great service, while on the other they are directly competing against me and undercutting, thus costing me business.(No disclosure was given regarding this practice, when we signed up for their service. If there had been, we would have used another.)

Every search firm that uses Career Builder needs to know that they are taking your money and then turning around and undercutting you. I would hope that someone in the media would investigate these unethical(though perhaps not illegal) practices. All search firms should refuse to do future business with Career Builder unless a non-compete was signed by them.
